The view was beautiful, although it was super windy and raining I still enjoyed it! It was somewhat hard to find- the written directions were not accurate but once we just drove we found it! Beautiful views but around the sites it seemed like a lot of random stuff!

We boondock in our SUV so the spot was more than we needed. That being said, we were the only ones there and the red rock back ground was gorgeous, and the night sky so bright and clear. The porta-jon was clean and fresh. Other than the rain/wind storm that blew in for about an hour or two early in the morning, it was a very comfortable stay!

The site was gorgeous but extremely secluded. We were there only two campers there and felt a little unsafe. The bugs were absolutely terrible. The night we stayed there the wind was also just terrible.

Quiet Nights with Great Scenery

Red Cliff was very private, quiet, and had beautiful views. If you're near Capital Reef, we highly recommend staying at this beautiful and serene site!

Overall the site was as expressed, but there were a few things that would really help make it better. Having one picnic table for six sites is not sufficient. It would have been nice if the host had made it clear that the wind makes it very challenging a to have a propane cooktop and the bugs were incessant. None of these are the hosts fault, but it just made it extremely channeling to hang out outside because we were being pummeled by winds or terrorized by gnats/mosquitos. The river that runs nearby seems to create a very buggy habitat, which you wouldn’t necessarily expect given the otherwise dry terrain. This place is GORGEOUS, and it would have probably been better in a campervan vs the setup we had with a teardrop trailer that necessitated cooking outdoors. We left a night early and went to Moab.

This spot was gorgeous and had the basics we needed -but fair warning that it can be WINDY. I had to adjust a bit of my set up because I travel in luxury 😅 But a nice spot all around once I dialed in.

Super cool place! Campsite is very clean, very quiet, we were the only ones there! 🤭 Views are incredible, quick drive into town and to the park! It was very windy but didn’t take away from the experience. Would definitely recommend!

Not much to it. Dirt spot with a spot for a camp fire. We ended up not staying the whole time we booked. The first night there was a loud party at the lodge that went well past midnight. I guess they don’t have quiet hours at the lodge. The views were pretty.

Wow this spot was gorgeous, i swear the photos don’t even do it justice. You just gotta see it for yourself. Nice camp, with other campers felt like a small community. Convenient location, good upkeep, good directions to finding.

Tent Camping May 30-June 1

This location was beautiful and convenient to Capitol Reef NP. The directions provided are for the main entrance but when you type the lodge in maps app takes you in the back entrance closer to Torrey so it was confusing when we first arrived. There is a lot of land, but 6 campsites directly next to each other. 3 in a row with 3 across the dirt road. The sites were big with a fire pit yet still a little closer to neighbors than we expected. It is quiet WHEN THERE ISN’T INTENSE WIND which is good except it feels like you lose privacy. The wind mentioned in previous reviews is no joke. We went May 30-June 1 weekend and could not spend time outside our tent. It was extremely difficult to put up our tent and tear down. It also was very loud WITH THE WIND that it was difficult to sleep without earplugs. The listing was confusing regarding firewood— but it is bring your own. There is a giant wood pile on the drive to the camp and when we messaged that afternoon of arrival we didn’t hear back until the following morning. The response delay would have been more of a concern but we ended up never having a fire because it wasn’t pleasant to sit outside. Porta potty was clean and at the end of the first row after campsite 3. Smell free but I didn’t see hand sanitizer. 1 table and trash next to it. I wouldn’t recommend tent camping here due to the wind but could be a good spot for an RV or car camping if you just need a place to sleep at night after exploring the area!

Very private and easy to get to. It was off the highway enough so that it wasn’t noisy but still quick to get to. Also quite close to towns that had gas and food.

Great tent camping near Capitol Ree

Excellent campsite, we had plenty of room for 3 tents and 2 trucks. The views of the red rock are great especially in the morning. There's aPorta a Potty about 100 feet away, I appreciated the illumination at night. The site is quiet and the cost was reasonable, this was much more private than the nearby BLM campsites. The proximity to Capitol Reef and Torrey worked for us. One thing to be prepared for is wind at night and in the morning, common in this area PS recommend breakfast at the Wild Rabbit Cafe in Torrey.

This was a wonderful primitive campsite! It's everything it says in the description, and nothing more. It's secluded with beautiful scenery, and it's close to town if you're looking for a burger. (Try Capitol Burger if you need a suggestion. )

I really enjoyed this campsire! The only two things I can complain about would be; I do wish I wasn't placed directly across from the only other people in camp and that walking around the premises was allowed. Otherwise 10/10

This is a beautiful area, and pretty private area. I loved the bison nearby and the red rocks. There was only one porta potty for all the sites and no water access. I felt like you could almost boondock for a lot less money. A little pricey for a designated camp area with no water access. Overall though it was easy to find and met our camp needs.

Red Cliff Camp #4

Views were gorgeous, ground was flat, site was about 15 minutes from Capitol Reef, with a general store, gas stations, and coffee shops between the two. Campsite #4 was a tiny bit separated from the rest of the sites, making it a little more private. Porta potty wasn’t being monitored by host at all the weekend we were here—bring your own toilet paper. Other than that, everything was perfect!

Camp site was very basic with one portable toilet. We had a camper van that navigated well the trail. The views are amazing! Would recommend if you want to camp with no amenities and have a spectacular view

Personally we were not happy at this Hipcamp I usually do not send a negative review but I was so disappointed in our visit to this hip camp The host sent a welcome with a long list of things not to do That was a bummer welcome , I never even met him This is a more expensive hip camp , not even a picnic table for the site - we were told not to go off our site which was extremely disappointing since there would have been some fun exploring on the property Definitely not a dog friendly place to play We reserved 2 nights but left a night early for an awesome blm - Again this is my personal opinion . Other people may feel differently -
