Riverfront RV Park - Welcome!
We decided to go camping super last minute and booked a spot. I was a bit hesitant to stay at an ‘RV’ park but was pleasantly surprised by the awesomeness of Nueces River Retreat. Plenty of trees, Camp fire spots, abundance of quiet, great river views, fishing, stargazing, wildlife to watch, and great friendly hosts. If you’re looking for a super backwoods totally remote place, this isn’t for you. If you want to get away in a safe awesome place, with plenty of appeal- check out this location. We three up our tent and felt right at home. We observed owls, rabbits, deer, fish, coyotes, squirrels, so many butterflies, birds, tons of cool insects and a real adorable wiener dog! 10/10 would stay again!

Exactly what we needed
We really enjoyed our weekend at River Front RV Park. The RV park was not crowded and was easy to maneuver around. It was well maintained and a very quiet and peaceful experience! We will definitely have a return visit to River Front RV Park!! Jim the host was very quick to respond to any questions that we had. All in all a wonderful stay!!

Riverfront RV Park - Welcome!
Great spot to stay for the night on the way from Fort Worth to South Padre Island. Jim was able to book us at his space even with a last minute reservation, and he responded quickly. Beautiful spot, right on the banks of Río Nueces. Extra bonus points for the awesome fire hose rope swings under the massive live oak trees. The mosquitos were definitely pretty thick, but that should be expected almost anywhere outside during the Texas summer. Bring bug spray.

Riverfront RV Park - Welcome!
After our beach camping plans fell through, Jim was kind enough to accommodate us very last minute. The shaded, tree-filled area for tents was beautiful + a great spot to drop in a fishing line or a kayak. A paddling trail is just down the road too. Our only reservation was our campsite was less private and more open to other guests than we anticipated, but luckily there was plenty of room for us to spread out and keep to ourselves. Saw lots of wildlife!

Riverfront RV Park - Welcome!
Very nice property, green with lots of trees. Very close to the water. Good for fishing but not really swimming. RV and car camping is perfect. Tents would have limited flat grounds in the grass.

Bring your kayaks and fishing gear!
This is a great spot for fishing. The river is an easy walk from our camp sites. The rv pad was level side to side too! If i could ask for any improvements, it would be for a picnic table for the camp sites and maybe a fire pit or bbq. But there is a community fire pit with a grill that you can use if you need it. We had a folding table and little tabletop pit we used instead, so it wasnt a big deal. Full hookups with 50 amp service made it very comfortable. There is also a LOT of shade, but out RV was in the sun. We took out chairs to the river overlook and enjoyed the shade and view from there.
We did swim in the river, but you have to use caution due to wildlife and boat traffic. The water is still, so its easy to kayak up and down stream with ease.
Overall, this is a great place, especially if you intend to kayak, canoe, and /or fish.
