This was our second time camping here and we can’t wait to come back for longer next time. Loved the location, especially exploring and swimming in the river. Going to nearby Frenchman’s hole was also a highlight. Highly recommend.

Cool place
If you plan to unload a large amount and stay away. Pick a different place. This was 1/4 mile walk straight down hill. Extremely slippery large wood chips for a path. Other than the place was cool. Luckily there were no other people camping next to us as the fire pit is shared.

We loved our stay at Abi's! Everything was prestine, the campsite was well set up, and mu kids loved playing in the river! The 3 campsites were within sight lines, but far enough to have privacy and not see other groups unless they were moving btwn areas. It was a quick (but steep) walk in (we popped back to the car easily for gear), but all you could hear and see from the site was nature .

I almost don’t want to give this campsite a good review because I want it to stay my little secret! This place is magical and we can’t wait to come back soon for longer. The hill in and out is no joke, but it was worth it. The river was wonderful entertainment and we found no need to leave for daytime adventures. My only complaint is that the Hillside site didn’t have a picnic table or a fire pit. We went with friends who took the Fireside site, so it wasn’t a big deal, but if we were alone it would have been an issue for our family.

Beautiful spot! The river, ledges and pools are gorgeous. Was great as a relaxing escape- worth exploring the river! The campsites are nicely prepared and the privy is great. We stayed at the Fire Site & 2 wood bundles we bought ahead of time lasted 2 nights. The hill down to the campground is steep and can be slippery due to rain getting the bark mulch wet. Lots of daddy long legs were out and about at night but are harmless. There was no cell service for us.

Magical!!! Pack light though.
This was a quiet, secluded, clean spot with great access to the river. There is only one fire pit at the Fireside site, so make sure you have a plan on camping with friends at that site or bring a camp stove. The hike down to the sites and back up to the cars is QUITE substantial. We will pack much lighter next time. Overall, it is a magical lovely place and we can’t wait to get a whole crew coordinated to rent out all three sites and make another weekend of memories with our friends and their families.

Camping with a crew!
We absolutely loved the campsite! The direction we’re clear and concise, the sites were cleaned and well maintained. The outhouse was clean and well stocked with a mirror, toilet paper, and hand sanitizer! The water was simply amazing! Our families had a WONDERFUL weekend! Even our dogs enjoyed it! Thank you Abi and family!

Right on the water!
We thoroughly enjoyed our campsite (fireside) at the Sunday River ledges....it was so close to the water! The outhouse was one of the cleanest I have ever seen, and the sites were well maintained. Will definitely be staying again.

This is a very sweet spot, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! We were two moms with our 4 boys aged 7-12 and we all loved the beauty of this place, the quiet, the gorgeous water and the intimate setting. Everything was clean, other guests were quiet and respectful, the host was very responsive. All was great.

This is the spot!
Oh wow! If you are hiking Old Speck or in the area, this is the place. Cool off with your butt in the river right by camp. Super close to Frenchman’s Hole for a real swim. Would 1000% return if in the area.

Beautiful wooden lot the river And waterfalls were beautiful picnic table on site was great wish there was a fire pit on lot one. Very small amount of wood for $10! Privy was clean. Don’t think I’d go back Without our own fire pit, Was really inconvenient carrying food and utensils to the other site.

Eden on the River
We felt very fortunate to find the spot. We we're just a few hundred feet from the river and less than a thousand feet from where we had to park. it is such a gorgeous area and very private. There are only three campsites there, and we happen to just be there by ourselves for the two nights we stayed. Thank you Abi!

Campsites were all well-maintained and level. The outhouse was exceptional. And the scenery is great to explore!
Just be prepared for the walk up and down the hill to the car.

Great location with excellent river access. Short hike to waterfall jump at Frenchmans Hole. Highly recommend. One fire pit for three campsites is a little less than ideal but otherwise great facilities.

Really special spot
We absolutely loved our stay at Abi's site, what a special spot! We were at site 3, not right on the river but you could still hear it and it was a short walk away. We had to end our trip early so we were only there one night but hope to be back again. This was my first Hipcamp experience and I screwed up the process a lot and Abi couldn't have been nicer and more communicative - and patient!

Escape to magical Maine.
Wonderful! My husband and two elderly dogs stayed for two nights. We ended up being the only ones there and it was so peaceful! We stayed at the site with the fire pit which also had a large grate for cooking. The privy is in excellent shape and doesn’t smell! Walking distance to a nice private part of the river that you can easily swim around in and explore with waterfalls.

Such a beautiful spot. Great for families. Good workout on the steep path from the car to the sites. Privy was super clean and well built. We all loved the waterslides: little and big kids alike. Just a short walk from Frenchman's hole for an exhilarating cliff jump.

Great, hidden gem!
This is a really cool camp spot, right next to a beautiful river. We had a great relaxing stay, and it's fairly easy to get to. While it's not a super long walk to get to the camp spot from where you park, I would recommend only bringing as much as you need to limit trips back and forth to the car, as it's a decent little uphill. Again, it's really not a far walk by any means, but it gets tiring if you're lugging heavy stuff back and forth. A couple of people showed up randomly during our stay. One person refilled supplies for the outhouse, and another came by just to say hi. Both friendly, but slightly unexpected. Otherwise, we loved our stay!

Peaceful, Beautiful Stay!
We stayed at the Riverside site and it was so peaceful and beautiful! Abi provided excellent directions in case our GPS didn't bring us right there - it did and we actually had good cell service while we were there (Google Fi)! The short hike down from the parking to the sites is a fairly steep hill but everything is marked so well and the sites were all beautifully maintained! Private, quiet, clean, and the river was a lot of fun to climb around the rocks and play with the kids and the dog. Plenty of hiking in the area and we really enjoyed our first hipcamp experience - definitely plan to go back!

Beautiful site and river spot! Very close to Sunday River and Grafton Notch. Easy to find, but be prepared for the hill from the cars to the site, it'll get your heart rate up! I would recommend this site to those that don't mind sharing amenities and visitors, the sites are pretty close to each other.
