Overland camping at the 1938 barn
Perfect piece of land! Was only suppose to stay here one night but ended up adding two more nights onto the trip because of how amazing it was. Secluded piece of land at the back of the property, couple fire pits, and amazing pigs! Justin is a top host! It rained on the first night and he checked in first thing in the AM to see if everything was OK and even brought fresh potatoes and onions from his garden. 10/10 stay and will definitely be back!

All went well. Stayed two nights
Most sites didn't want you to bring firewood. But we found some in Brazil, In and had taken some kindling . Quite and secluded, relaxing we had fun

Scenic, Private Tent Camping Site
We had a great stay and would absolutely stay here again! We were tent camping and enjoyed that the camping site was tucked into a private, scenic area on the property. As the description states, there are no bathrooms but we found it easy to find a private place to go to the bathroom. We experienced road noise at night but found that ear plugs helped. There are adorable animals on the property (pigs and roosters) - naturally, there is a bit of noise coming from their pens at night too!

Overall Beautiful Property
Justin has a very nice property, and the campsite area is next to a large chicken coop where a gorgeous rooster roams freely. It is also very near a pig pen, so unfortunately the close proximity to both enclosures made for an unpleasant smell. The fire pit is within feet of the coop, so you smell their waste as you enjoy the fire. The electrical box/outlet was loaded with ant or termite nests of some sort and lots of them inside, along with loads of dried up grass stuffed into it as well. The electricity didn't work, so our fan never got to be used. We set up our tent, started our fire, cooked our food, broke down our tent and fire, packed up and left before Justin got back to us about the electricity.
The heat was too much, the smell was too much, and we were absolutely exhausted from kayaking. We ended up going home instead of staying the night.
I don't want this to be considered a negative review, just because we had a poor experience. Justin was great, we met him upon arrival because there were no signs instructing us where to go and due to my own negligence my phone got ruined, so I couldn't access the directions on HipCamp. He told us where to go and where the water spicket and electrical box is located, he gave us his cell number and he answered promptly when I called about the electric- however he was away at the time. I fault him for nothing, & all things can be improved upon. 4/5

Beginning camper
The space was really good but there was some confusion about the spigot water supply and electrical. I felt a little weird asking after being asked if I really needed electricity. But the space was beautiful and nice, unfortunately we got rained out which had nothing to do with Justin and his family. But there is the tiniest sign that points toward the proper campsite that we missed first coming in. And then he’s really cute dog cotton, whom we’re not supposed to feed, was over at our campsite every single chance that she got. That made it a little uncomfortable because she was not supposed to eat anything and we were not supposed to feed her but she seemed to be getting fed from somebody’s table because she was all over our space looking for food sniffing at everything and then she went into our tent as I was closing it down and like I said we got rained out. So you can imagine the amount of mud I had to clean up so it did piss me off quite a bit. And it didn’t matter what I said our command I used she just was not listening at all. But camping in and of itself on that property was good.

Great place would definitely stay again. Will note you can hear traffic from the near highway but it dies down after 8pm. There is some dogs off in the distance that like to talk through the night but didn’t bother me much.

Justin's site was amazing! A beautiful drive through a corn field opens up into a little wooded clearing. There was a fire ring, stars, and solitude. I will absolutely camp here again!

It was our 1st experience with Hipcamp. What a wonderful experience. We loved it. Will be back next week. Justin was awesome produce, sunset, fire pit, and water. Couldn’t ask for more!!!!

Peaceful little nook, fun to see newborn ducklings at the barn. Very generous of Justin to let us all share this space for a great price. True to his listing...it can be wet and muddy in the woods the moment you leave the gravel drive. So check first before driving into the woods or you may get stuck like we almost did! Justin and family checked in on us and even brought us potatoes from the garden. Its buggy back there but...start a fire and enjoy!

Nice and simple.
The place was just as advertised. The barn, garden, pond and woods were all nice. The clearing where we camped had water and fire ring. All we needed. Worked out great for the first night of our bicycle trip.
