This is a beautiful peaceful place where I like to go to spend time away from the noise of the world and recharge and enjoy all the things of nature, float and fish the river and lakes walk through the trees and wild flowers. It is close to West Yellowstone and Yellowstone National Park. This land has been in my family for nearly 50 years and my parents wanted to keep it in a primitive state but we will be adding a few updates in the coming years Learn more about this land: (#1)From Ashton Idaho follow Highway 20 about 30 miles to Yale-Kilgore Rd,(#2)From W.Yellowstone it is about 26 miles to Elk Creek #1 take a left turn and #2 a right turn follow this road until you cross McRae bridge then continue to a right turn onto Yale Creek Road then left at the split in the road onto Hotel Creek then right on S. Beaver Springs Rd. then a right on Glen tree Road continue along Glen tree and take a left on Wooded Ln, up this lane approximately 2 to 3 blocks the property is on the right marked with orange fence posts, it is a primitive camp site horse shoe around a fire pit. Please don’t burn garbage or cut down any trees. The road is very bumpy please take it slow. 4166 Wooded Ln.

Very tidy and efficient site.
I camped out with one of my best friends, her 12 year old son, and my dog, after a trip to Yellowstone. The proximity to the park is great and we had a wonderful time. I was under the impression that the campsite was isolated, which is not the case. There were houses on the road as well as other campers in RVs. The fire pit was amazing. We packed our own wood in. If you don’t have your own wood, there is plenty at this site, for a fee. Recommend for someone looking to do something a little non-traditional.

This site was awesome! It was nice and peaceful and there was a moose when we arrived. Pull through slots were great and fit our RVs perfectly! Will be coming back again!

Quit and Great Access to Yellowston
Very secluded and well maintained site. Hard to access and the roads are tricky to navigate with an RV.

Quiet Dry Camp
The site was exquisitely beautiful and quiet; however, the sites were not clearly delineated which caused for confusion with other campers that arrived. The host was clear that this was a dry camp and we were able to get our 26-foot 5th wheel into the site. But fair warning: the roads in are not graded and have some ruts. He let us know to take it low and slow. Some road signs were not worded as on the Hip Camp directions. We got a little lost and had to do some back-up magic and finally used Waze to get us to our destination. Note that the final road is Wooded Lane.

Only as a last resort
The campsites at this location are incredibly small. They are basically 4 oversized and un-level parking spots that all back up to a single shared fire pit. The road on the way up is washed out, and backing a trailer into the designated camp sites is very challenging. Not to mention that one of the road names in the directions is wrong, which doesn’t seem like a big deal until you have to back a trailer back down a 1-way washed out road that is surrounded by trees.

Do not book!
I do not recommend this campsite. Very difficult to access with an RV. Danny was inaccessible when it took us several hours to find the camp. When we finally found the site, our spot was occupied by other hipcampers who had the same feeling as our: the impression to have been fooled. We had to find another spot for the night. Definitely the worst experience we had with hipcamp so far.

Not staying there again
The directions were not good (at least include some mileage/distances and get road names correct) and the road was VERY rough. It was the roughest road I’ve taken my camper trailer on (and I take it on national forest roads often). The site would be ok for 4 tent sites and two camper and two tents but was crowded with three camper trailers/RVs and for tent/dry camping it really needs a port-a-potty. It also has a shared firepit, which was not a big deal, but was not stated in the description. And trying to charge $15/day for wood at a shared firepit is not good . Also due to the cramped space someone was already set up in my spot, forcing me to take someone else”s.

Peaceful Pines
Tricky road to the site
I'll start off by saying this was our first HipCamp experience. The site was indeed peacefully nestled among the pine trees. The huge fire pit was awesome, and I could see it being a fun gathering site with other campers (we were the only guests during our stay). The site was a bit tricky to get to, but that was because I tried using Google Maps. Danny's directions are very clear, and had I used them initially, we would have gotten there easier. The cell reception in the area isn't great, so I'm glad I had taken a screenshot of his directions beforehand. My biggest issue with this site was the road in. It was not clear to us how "rustic" this road was before we got there. The last few "blocks" before Danny's property had many big rocks and huge ruts in the road. This was particularly challenging to navigate being in an SUV pulling a travel trailer. I did not feel like the listing was particularly clear about the road conditions. I think if we had been in a Sprinter van or some with higher clearance and ideally not towing something, the road would have been ok, but it just wasn't great for us, especially arriving late at night.

No air freshener needed
Peaceful pines is a Good name for this place, we had a cow moose walk by camp the 1st day, didnt care the generator was even on ! Although it's off grid living the only thing we noticed was area locals working on thier homes and only during work hours.

Great dry camp near Yellowstone
This is an awesome campsite nestled in a vacation community well away from any construction, that has very easy access to Yellowstone. I would absolutely recommend this spot to anybody that's comfortable dry camping.

We had a frustrating time finding it as there was no address or signage at the road or the campsite. He did answer his phone however. There was really only one level site not 4

Awesome fire pit!
Danny's place in the pines was lovely! BEST FIREPIT ever, with tons and tons of wood, de-barked and ready to go.
