Yurt of our Dreams
The Yurt was so perfect and cozy! We cooked over the fire the first night and enjoyed the endless stars in the sky. After returning from lava hot springs our second night it was rainy and chilly outside so we spent the evening snuggled inside enjoying drinks in front of the wood burning stove listening to the rain hit the roof. It was 35° outside but we snuggled down comfortably in the 72° yurt! The views, cows, fall leaves, outhouse, and everything about this stay was amazing! Thank you Jennifer for such a fun weekend escaping the city!

A Glamping Dream!
Jenn's Yurt was an absolute dream! My fiancé and I had the perfect off-grid experience unwinding and feeling at one with nature. The yurt is the perfect balance of glamping with plenty of amenities, but also feeling cut off from the world and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. Everything felt homey and well cared for. All we could think about was how much our children would enjoy the experience and can't wait to come back and bring them! Jenn is a true example of what it means to be hospitable...thank you for opening up your home to us and letting us enjoy your little slice of paradise! *Also want to give a shout-out to Mountain Mayhem Rentals in Lava Hot Springs. We got to explore the many trails surrounding the yurt in an ATV rental and it was an absolute blast! They were so helpful and kind...we highly recommend doing this while you are visiting the yurt. :)

Lovely yurt with such incredible attention to detail! We loved having a lazy autumn morning reading by the wood stove, cooking in the massive outdoor kitchen, and star gazing by the campfire at night! Highly recommend.

Amazing valley views
This was such a unique and comfortable yurt! We were able to obtain the peace and space that comes with an off-grid stay, without sacrificing warmth, comfort, fully stocked kitchen, sink, comfy chairs, beds and bedding! We don't usually repeat our stays because we like to see new places, but there's enough to do in the area, where we barely scratched the surface. The only way we were able to tear away was by promising ourselves that we'd be back!

Jennifer's yurt is a very special trip. The yurt is completely outfitted and has every comfort and every detail has been though of, from games, bug spray, kitchen set up, bathroom. The space and land is beautiful and Jennifer was very quick to respond to the questions I had. I was looking for a beautiful, quiet retreat and I found it here. 10/10

Yurt Camping!
Jennifer was a fantastic host! Directions were clear, close to activities in Lava or you can stay on site and enjoy the fire pit, grill & picnic area. Totally off grid, spotty cell service (which we were hoping to be without), outhouse was surprisingly nice, couldn’t see any neighbors. :) More than we hoped and we intend to return next year. Gurt the yurt will be a memory our family will always remember. Highly recommend!

Such a great place!
Jennifer's place is clearly a labor of love, and she was great to communicate with.
The yurt is delightful -- it is thoughtfully put together, and has a whole secondary outdoor kitchen and lounge area. Sunset over the mountains is great, and the only sounds are the occasional moo. The place is nestled into the sagebrush, and the nicest outhouse I have ever used. The indoor composting toilet is so helpful for that middle of the night trip when you don't want to have to wake up enough to go outside. There is enough electric to run the fans, a few lights, and charge a phone or two, and you really don't need much more than that! It was a relaxing end to our 2 week van trip.
The yurt is about a half hour up a somewhat bumpy dirt/rock road. We were in a high clearance 4x4 van, and had no problems. High clearance not needed, but might be slick after a rain or a snow. We would recommend getting anything you need while in Lava Hot Springs before coming up to the yurt -- once you are there, you are not going to want to leave!

We had the PERFECT quick getaway! The yurt is more like a cabin - complete with a hot shower, soft sheet, and sweet smelling candles. It was off the grid yet cozy and comfortable. Views were amazing. We felt alone in the mountain and just 30 minutes from town. Jennifer was a wonderful host. We will return again and again.

Pure Bliss!
Our family's first yurt experience, and now we dream of one of our own. Your hosts have made this off-grid lodging feel luxurious yet completely unpretentious. They've thought of everything you really need, and edited out all the nonsense from your everyday life. The outdoors is filled with birdsong, wildflowers, hum of pollinators, and breezes off the mountainside. There is a very comfy fire pit site with sofas, and a shaded outdoor kitchen. The yurt kitchen is very large and functional. The glam outhouse was the most charming we'd ever been in, especially with its mountain views. A 20 minute walk up the road leads to a creek and hiking trails near a campground. 20 minutes in the other direction is the fun-filled and relaxing Lava Hot Springs -- do not miss! - with water slides, hot spring baths, river tubing, a selection of great restaurants.

Comfy Cozy and everything you need
Very cozy and comfortable. Everything you need and then some. We’ll definitely come back.
A couple notes:
The dirt road has some big rocks, so you will need a car with a good 6 inches of clearance. A member of our party drives a car that rides very low to the ground and his car sustained some damage.
Also- the fridge is an ice box, like a cooler. It doesn’t stay very cold.

Best yurt ever!
Jennifer’s yurt was absolutely amazing!! Cannot recommend this place enough! Jennifer provided an extremely detailed welcome book that make us confident in working all the off grid features of the yurt. If you are looking for solitude or great hiking, I highly recommend booking. We hiked up to Snow Peak from Big canyon (8.5ish miles round trip). Then we went into lava hot springs for a soak!
The yurt was super clean and had everything we needed. Very sad we had to leave but hopefully will be back!

What a beautiful experience! Even the outhouse is a place where you want to sit and stay a while. My husband and I had a peaceful couple of days communing with the free-range cattle, the wildflowers, and the mama wren building a nest on the front porch. The accommodations were the perfect balance of rustic camping and modern convenience (I do love a hot shower!) Jennifer was a delightful hostess and very quick to respond to messages. We hope to make this an annual retreat.

Fun Family Vacation
We enjoyed a wonderful family vacation at this yurt. Great family time in a beautiful quiet setting. Close to fun activities like go-karts and river tubing, and ice cream cones but far enough away from screens to enjoy family time. The yurt was wonderful. Exceeded our expectations. Well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, cozy couches in front of the fire and a wonderful fire pit and outdoor kitchen for BBQing and smores. This place is very well planned for all the comforts you need. A big slice of heaven!
I certainly got the peaceful retreat I was looking for with this property. Not only is it a spacious, comfortable, and charming place but he amenities are beyond what I would have expected. The views are phenomenal and the area, although not entirely secluded, is very quiet and private. The owners are great with communication and making sure everything goes smoothly. My stay was absolutely wonderful and I definitely recommend it.

Wow! Super special get-away!
A very special spot to get away and relax for a few days! This is definitely the most 5-star luxurious accommodations we’ve had on our cross country trip. The yurt is super comfortable and gorgeous inside and out. Jennifer has a great decorator’s eye and seems to have thought of everything you could possibly need. The property is pretty easy to get to but feels very isolated. We cooked up a feast on the outdoor grill, and enjoyed just hanging out in the space and admiring the views. I wish we could have stayed all week!

What an amazing property. We have stayed in many cabins and yurts across the country and this property, by far, has been THE BEST! The yurt was extremely clean, tidy and well stocked. The beds were comfy, the kitchen well-stocked, and the indoor bathroom is efficient and clean (outhouse also extremely clean... for an outhouse!) Jennifer's yurt was very comfortable and well furnished, providing all our needs. It is in a beautiful location and Jennifer's hospitality and communication were superb. There is about a 20 minute dirt road to get there which can be a little bumpy at times so drive with care.

Perfect Little Getaway!
This place is absolutely stunning, perfect couple getaway or family getaway. Has an area with a fire pit and grilling station. Has breathtaking views. Instructions given by the owner is very clear. They are very kind and accommodating. Gives you all the information you need in order to run everything in the yurt. I especially love that this place is pet friendly! It is only 30 minutes out from lava hot springs and has amazing hikes near by. We are definitely coming back here again :)
