Escape the noise and discover a private riverside retreat beneath mature oaks along the Tallapoosa River in West Georgia. Moss & Sons welcomes one registered group at a time to slow down, enjoy the wooded setting, and spend meaningful time together. This is generally a shallow stretch of the Tallapoosa River. Our family usually fishes by wading upstream and downstream to reach different spots when conditions allow. Water depth varies with rainfall and the season, and low water can limit fishing directly from the campsite's bank. Please ask us about current conditions before booking if fishing is your main reason for visiting. The river is natural and unmonitored. Water level, current, mud, debris, weather, and water quality can change quickly, especially after rain. There is no designated swimming area, lifeguard, water-quality testing, shuttle, guide, watercraft rental, route monitoring, or rescue service. Guests must evaluate current conditions, directly supervise children near the water, and use properly fitted life jackets whenever appropriate. Amenities and fire rules vary by the specific site reserved. Campfires are permitted only when the booked site allows them, only in its designated fire ring, and only when current restrictions and conditions permit. Our family is grateful to share this place with guests who value quiet, stewardship, and the beauty of GOD's creation.

Tallapoosa River Day Retreat — No Overnight

Tent pitch · Sleeps 4
DAY USE ONLY. NO OVERNIGHT STAY. Access is limited to 8 AM through 7 PM on the arrival date. Everyone must leave by 7 PM that same day. The one-night calendar display does not extend access beyond that time. One registered group of up to four guests and two vehicles may use the private deck and pavilion to picnic, fish from the bank where lawful, watch wildlife, and spend quiet time by the Tallapoosa River. A portable toilet is available. No campfires or overnight camping. This is private property access. It is not a public boat launch, outfitted trip, or promise of secure parking. Moss and Sons does not provide a shuttle, guide, watercraft, equipment, route monitoring, rescue service, fixed float time, or water safety guarantee. A downstream float leaves the property and is not part of this reservation. The natural river is unmonitored. Levels, current, mud, debris, weather, and water quality can change quickly, especially after rain. Do not enter during thunderstorms, flood alerts, high or swift water, or uncertain runoff. Children require direct adult supervision. Properly fitted life jackets are strongly recommended near or on the water. The gravel driveway is steep. Four wheel drive is recommended when it is wet or soft. Keep pets leashed and pack out all trash

Private Tallapoosa River Tent & RV Retreat One registered group at a time enjoys this private riverside site beneath mature oaks. The campsite includes a 16-by-16-foot elevated deck, 16-by-30-foot covered pavilion, fire ring, 50-amp service, water and sewer hookups, gravel pull-through, and portable toilet with privacy tent. Best for tents, campervans, pop-ups, truck campers, rooftop tents, and travel trailers under 25 feet. The gravel driveway is steep; 4WD is recommended when towing or when conditions are wet or soft. Ask before arrival if vehicle fit is uncertain. Relax beside the river and watch wildlife. This is a natural, unmonitored river—not a designated swimming area. Level, current, mud, debris, weather, and water quality can change quickly, especially after rain. Do not enter during thunderstorms, flood alerts, high or swift water, or uncertain runoff. Children require direct adult supervision. Properly fitted PFDs are strongly recommended near or on the water. Registered guests may consider a paddle from this booked private property to the source-listed Poplar Springs public access. Owner-reported rough estimate: about 5–6 hours in some past conditions. Water, wind, stops, obstructions, skill, and takeout conditions can change that substantially; the route and time are not currently field-verified or promised. This property is not public access, and directions remain private after booking. Independently confirm Poplar Springs is open and lawful for takeout and parking, check river, weather, access, and water-quality conditions, bring proper equipment and PFDs, and arrange two-vehicle transportation. No shuttle, guide, rental, monitoring, or rescue is provided. Maximum eight registered guests and two vehicles. No lifeguard, water-quality testing, shower, or Wi-Fi. Pack out all trash. Campfires only in the ring when no ban or unsafe condition exists. Quiet, respectful guests are welcome.
