The Burrow is a luxury off-grid getaway, situated in a quiet spot on our 55-acre family farm. The perfect place to turn off your phone and reconnect with nature. Surrounding Area: Located on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border, there are brilliant walks on your doorstep. The Clarendon Way and Monarch's Way walking routes are next to the farm and lead onto Broughton Down and Bentley Woods. The Iron Age hill fort of Danbury with beautiful hillside walks is a short drive away and is located next to the charming town of Stockbridge with perfect food, coffee and shopping options. The Burrow is perfectly situated near the historical market towns and city’s of Romsey, Salisbury, Winchester as well as the historical Stonehenge and The New forest all within 30 minutes drive. As a family we have been working this land since 1953 and from time to time you may hear your firewood being split in the yard or a tractor chugging by. You may also see smoke signals on occasion from the kiln producing a fresh batch of locally sourced sustainable charcoal! We hope you’ll find this gives you an even more authentic farm experience! Nestled on the Hants/wilts border, there are brilliant walks on your doorstep- we're on the Clarendon Way and Monarch's Way walking routes. Broughton Down and Bentley Woods are close by for you to explore or the New Forest is a short car ride away. Guests staying at the Burrow can take advantage of a discounted rate £40 for an hour long class or you are welcome to join a group class during your stay (Jess runs gentle yoga classes in the farm house garden on mon and weds evenings during the summer) £12 drop in Jess is an experienced yoga teacher and international dance artist. She has taught yoga in various studios across London, Bristol and Salisbury over the years.

Incredible Secluded Stay

Off Grid Shepherd Hut

Communication from the host was excellent both before and during our stay. We received plenty of useful information beforehand, making everything straightforward and stress-free. The golf cart provided is a great touch and one of our favourite things was being able to drive around the farm in the evenings to watch the sunset – it really added something special to the experience. The shepherd’s hut itself was immaculate, beautifully presented, and equipped with everything we needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we appreciated the little extras such as the charging cables and power banks, which were a really thoughtful addition. The outdoor seating area was fantastic, and there was more than enough wood provided for the fire, so we didn’t need to purchase any extra. What we loved most was the sense of privacy and seclusion. It felt like our own little escape from the world, and by the end of our stay we genuinely felt relaxed, refreshed, and reluctant to leave. If I were to offer any feedback at all, it would only be to suggest a few additional hooks inside the hut. We had backpacks and larger coats with us, so a couple more places to hang things would have been useful. That said, this is a very minor point, and there was otherwise plenty of storage available. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others. We will definitely be returning in the future. We had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish.

Peaceful stay with thoughtful touch

Off Grid Shepherd Hut

We really enjoyed our stay – it was peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by a beautiful view. We were positively surprised by the thoughtful little touches, like a fully charged power bank ready for use and the convenient buggy transport from the car park to the hut. The host was very easy to reach and responsive, which made everything smooth. The design of the hut was truly impressive – everything was cleverly arranged to make the most of the small space without feeling cramped. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!

Had a wonderful time at The Burrow, beautiful scenery, very well designed hut and attentive hosts. Would highly recommend this stay to anyone who likes to be off the grid!
