Stunning woods and what amounts to what legal wild camping could feel like. Jon is such a lovely host. So friendly and accommodating. The composting toilet was well maintained which meant it didn’t smell like some campsites I’ve been to. It is a working farm so do message or call ahead to let Jon know your arrival times etc. it helps him to make the arrival more smooth.
We had a great time! Plenty of amenities were available near the campsite area yet it felt very remote and secluded. Jon was super friendly and helpful

What a great little spot!
The woods are cute and quiet, with some nice fire pits and an amazing sunset over the field.
Plenty of pubs in walking distance or a short drive if you don’t want to cook.
Jon was a friendly host and happily showed me around the woods.
Would absolutely recommend if you’re looking for a quick weekend camp near London.
We had a lovely 2 night stay in the woodland.
It felt secluded and was very peaceful. It’s a great off grid site with lots of great spots to pitch up in the trees or the meadow.
Jon was very nice snd helpful, provided us with a wheel barrow to help shift our camping gear and even carried a few bits himself as we walked and talked about the land and his journey managing the farm.
We really felt like had ‘got away from it all’ for a few days, we loved it and will be back.
Jon is a really welcoming, accommodating and conscientious host. We strung up hammocks in the woodlands, which meant we got to wake up with the natural sunlight to the beautiful sound of the birds. There are some wonderful farm animals, including some adorable pigs and rather inquisitive sheep! The lack of running water is a slight drawback, however it is made clear in the listing and we came prepared with plenty of water.

Jon was a friendly and helpful host. The site is very pretty, nicely private, and very close if like us you are coming with North/East London. The walk from the parking is fairly long as Jon highlights in the description but perfectly manageable. We’d happily come again

Very nice and private campsite, we had amazing time!
Excellent camp site with lovely host. Feeling the need to get off line? This is the perfect place. Woodland was full of ancient species indicators, neighbours were friendly goats and chickens.
Camped in the woods and it was secluded and private, cool in the summer heat.
13/10 would stay again.
Enjoyed being alone like always. Everything was just perfect.

It was a lovely campsite, we set up our tent in the woods slightly outside of where we were meant to as there wasn't enough clearing for our huge tent in the main woods. Where we ended up staying was perfect for our needs. Jon was a lovely host, and gave us enough freedom to do our thing. The only negative, if you can call it that, was the facilities could do with a bit cleaning. I think the main camping forest could do with a bit of clearing of weeds/bushes which don't allow you to set up bigger tents. There's no running water and It's a long walk to the car, so just be prepared for that. All in all a great stay with the kids, nice and quiet. We would stay here again!

I had a great time at the woodlands camping. Jon come to make sure things were ok. I made a campfire and enjoyed a peaceful night. The location is ideal for sunset and sunrise. All in all I had a nice relaxed experience.

We really enjoyed our stay! Lovely campsite, we had the woodlands all to ourselves and enjoyed exploring the local footpaths and seeing the animals on the farm. Our dog loved it! The host Jon was very helpful and insightful with the local area. Will definitely be returning in the future!

I like this place very much so it wasn't the first time and certainly not the last.
Spent a wonderful time there. It's really secluded. I had the whole woods alone. The host is very friendly and helpful. I only missed my family because the place is well equipped for a family. Everything is there what you need to have a comfortable superb time in the nature. The host even provided a saw to be able to use the fallen branches for campfire. I will definitely go back, next time probably with my family.
I highly recommend this campsite!
lovely camp site. The perfect mix between wild camping and being on a site. Jon is a great guy and was so kind he even helped carry all our stuff up to the site !

We had a great time camping on the site, great location and friendly hosts. We will definitely be back.
Jon was a great host, really friendly and always happy to help. The views from the meadow fields are great and I had the whole place to myself for the first night and was just amazing, felt completely recharged and rested sitting in the fields watching the butterflies. Only downside is it’s a bit of a walk from the car and up bit of a hill. Not enough to put me off recommending it though. Just pack light and bring a friend to help pull the trolley. Can’t wait to come back again. 5* thanks again Jon :)
