Located just outside the Calgary city limits, our small acreage provides a pastoral respite from the city bustle. While camping here you might enjoy a glorious sunrise and picturesque Rocky Mountain views.  Horses graze across the fence and trains go whistling by regularly.   We’re close to Ralph Klein Park and minutes to Stony Trail, Highway 22X and Deerfoot Trail making it a quick 20 minute drive to downtown Calgary. You will enjoy choosing from two ideal sites in the field - under the stars or under the trees.  This is an RV-only campsite. We can accommodate vehicles up to 50ft in length and the sites are flat. No amenities or hookups.  Pets are welcome.

Beautiful and large area for camp. Sunrise and sunset were a plus. Easy access and close to town. Stephanie also packaged up some fresh organic basil, tomatoes and kale for my morning departure. Will stay again!

This is a lovely spot with beautiful views and friendly hosts. If you camp in the humid weather bring bug spray. If you're a light sleeper bring earphones for the trains. With these items in hand we'd happily visit again!

What a great spot to stay while visiting Calgary! Our hosts Stephanie and Scott were very welcoming; Stephanie met us as we pulled in and showed us where to park and gave us some good tips on what to see in Calgary. The site was very private with just the right mix of sun and shade to keep our solar panels charging and maintain a perfect comfort level. The expansive view to the surrounding rural scenery and big sky was very relaxing. As a bonus, we were treated to the most intense lightning storm we have ever seen. No problems with pooling water or mud after the heavy rain. I was a bit concerned about proximity to the railroad tracks, but the noise was not an issue at all and we found the sounds almost soothing. We highly recommend this HipCamp site.

Country getaway near the big city

This is such a gem of a place to stay! Stephanie and Scott were both so friendly and kind and made us feel completely welcome on their beautiful property. There’s plenty of space to park and get level as well. The site is also only about 15-20 minutes from things to do in Calgary but still feels like you’re in the country. The train does come by but it honestly didn’t bother us. Would absolutely stay here again.

Staying the night at Stephanie’s worked out well after a day in Calgary. The trains were not a problem for us and it was peaceful experience.

We spent the night killing mosquitoes. Just by opening the door once we had plenty of them inside.. terrible night. Don't open the doors/windows of your RV!! Also the train passes by so close!

Very nice host with big grassy area to camp. It was hot but a nice breeze in the evening. The only thing was the trains that passed by close to the property through the night. I got used to it the by second night.

Such a beautiful place with wonderful hosts! An excellent place to catch some Alberta sunrises and sunsets, and only a 10 minute drive from many places in SE Calgary. I will definitely be returning in the future!

We arrived a bit late in the night and Stephanie greeted us in the driveway. In the morning her and Scott welcomed us into their garage grow house setup which was so neat and shows their passion. The veggies are delicious and the convenience was just what we needed.

Stephanie was great! She was so understanding and flexible with our late check-in. We had a spot under a tree and listening to the wind in the leaves was very peaceful. Be prepared for train noise, as the property is near to train tracks. Otherwise, it was a comfortable stay!

We stayed here for a couple days while we explored Calgary a bit. The owner is super friendly and laid back. We grabbed a spot under the tree for shade which helped keep the trailer cool. And let's not forget about the dog... they do have an older dog that runs around freely but he's just a big teddy bear that likes to play. There are train tracks nearby but it really didn't bother me or my friend. I woke up once but it was a short lived disturbance and i was back to sleep almost instantly. Overall I enjoyed my stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Convenient for our stay near Calgary. We had a corner of the front yard to ourselves. Stephanie was accommodating and responsive to our questions prior to our booking. We are not familiar with the area and were only planning to be in Calgary for a few days. This was a good option for us as we are prepared for completely off grid, dry camping. Thank you Stephanie .

Very close to the city but not very tranquil except for the train whistling at night Stephanie and Scott are super duper people and have a great selection of plants and herbs Would definitely recommend whistle stop

Great place to camp. Lots of room for the dog to run. You have to like trains. The crossing is a couple of hundred meters away and the train have to blow their horns. They run at all hours. As an ex railway worker I don’t mind and actually enjoy it.
