This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community.

 It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night.

The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead.

There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company.

Here is what the land offers:

-Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023

-Strawberry Fields bunkie:  an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table

-Campsites: Meadow, Forest and River spots.  Close to each other, but you'd never know it!  All three are chill and serene places. The property backs onto a ten-foot swimming hole in an otherwise shallow part of the Saugeen River.

-RV Spot: With electric hook up ideal for RVs 30 feet and under

-a connection to the organization, 'Black Folks Camp Too'!  Welcoming to all!!!!!

White Pines Cabin Retreat

Relax and unwind in this beautiful cabin by the river. Sit on the front deck and relax and enjoy the sounds of the running water. The cabin has limited electricity for lights, ceiling fan, cell phone charging and WiFi etc. There is room to comfortably sleep 4. There is a single over double bunk bed and a roomy camp cot.  Blankets are provided but please bring your own bedding (sleeping bags encouraged during colder months). The room also includes a mini fridge, diesel heater . There is a lovely wooden swing to relax on that also includes a propane BBQ for your use with cooking utensils. There is also a fire pit with a grill and a beautiful wooden outhouse just steps away from the cabin.  Tents sites are available for groups larger than 4 but must be part of the cabin rental.

Cabin is only 5 minutes from Bells Lake where you can fish, swim, canoe, kayak and paddle Board. Only 10 minutes from Ferns Gold Club and a short drive to Hogg Falls, Eugenia Falls and Ingliss Falls which all offer amazing hiking Trails.

Willow Pond Haven

Looking to Disconnect and truly escape? Look no further , Willow Pond Haven is the perfect spot to unwind . We are situated 2 hours from Toronto. Nestled among tall pines trees on a quiet property just minutes from Allen Park, where you can enjoy hiking trails , fishing at the trout pond there. 

Our cozy bunkie offers a charming retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. 

Perfect for weekdays and weekends getaway’s. Enjoy the calm , quaint and beautiful views of the serene pond and stunning sunrises and sunsets while sitting outside having coffee on your deck.

Our cozy bunkie offers 1 Queen size bed, 1 twin size bunkie . (Can sleep up to 4 comfortably) table and 2 chairs, bench, a  deck, BBQ, picnic table, fire pit. Swimming in our 1 acre pond, kayaking, or canoeing. Outhouse on site with handwashing station.

We are a small but unique property with 6 campsites and a bunkie on the Styx River.  Approximately 2 acres nestled amongst beautiful tall cedar trees.

We have a restaurant and store on the property.

Cedar Acres

There are four acres of woods to explore right beside Townsend Lake, a small, quiet lake perfect for canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. The lake warms up quickly in the spring and is great to swim in. There is a cabin to sleep in and many camping items are provided, like a Coleman stove, tables, dishes, and a screen shelter.

You will have access to the dock and a large fire pit area which are part of the owner’s cottage on the property. There will be a port-a-potty on site.

Lake Townsend is close to several conservation areas and 12 minutes to the quaint town of Markdale with several shops, a bakery, and a large grocery store.

The city of Owen Sound is 35 minutes away. Harrison Park and Inglis Falls are huge attractions in the area. Each area has its own beauty and the hiking path between the two is quite spectacular.

Parts of the famous hiking trail, The Bruce Trail, are also easily accessible from Townsend Lake.

But once you get settled in, you may just want to rest and relax at the lake! It has its own beauty and serenity and is home to many bird species and other wildlife.

Cedar Acres is the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy nature.

Heavens Acres

Heavens Acres has been a stop over since the 1850's for people travelling by horse from Toronto to Owen Sound.

We have 100 acres surrounded by another 200 acres of conservation land.

There is camping in the pine forest as well at the very back of the property where you will find a hardwood bush with trails.

Please note that the hipcamp map shows a large body of water on the property, as does google driving maps.

It is a marsh, not a lake.

Google Earth shows it better.

There is however, a creek and pond, but don't bring your boat. :)

This is a "LEAVE NO TRACE" campsite, so please take all garbage when you leave.

Please note that in the winter months. There’s a $25 surcharge.
This is required for snow removal to access the sites that are at at least 1 km into the bush.
We are in a snow belt area and it is very difficult to keep the sites open in the winter.
Four-wheel-drive is required for access in the winter!

Maitland River Campground

100 acre property outside of Gorrie ON 
Maitland river campground has 6 listings with structure and lots of space for tents and trailers! 
Maitland river runs through the property and a spring fed pond is steps away for swimming and relaxing in the sand. There is no electricity, water or wifi at this site as it is at the back of the property

Time at the Shores

Very close to all the great stuff available at this part of Bruce peninsula. We share our backyard with our guests,  we are very close to everything that Bruce county has to offer, port Elgin, Southampton, golf courses, different accesses to saugeen river where u can go fishing canoeing, tubing etc., supermarkets, native reserve, sauble beach and dozens of other ones…all at max 15 minutes distance… in the property you will find everything u need for a peaceful stay, hard to describe everything you will find but u can read our reviews, some of them have beautiful descriptions of what is here for you, you must love animals, since we have our pets all around, u are also super welcome to bring yours. One of the high points of here is the interaction u will have with the pets, they are all super friendly and will play with u every time they see u, they believe u r here for them, between, dogs, cats, birds, rabbits etc they will be part of your stay, this is theyr home, u r theyr guests, that’s how they think, so u must be a pet lover. For the canine: please bring your bedding, there’s a few pillows and bed covers but bring your personal bedding, queen size…Looking forward to meet you.

Pedro Rodrigues

A shared patio space is equipped with a BBQ and lots of seating for the guest's use.

Inside, you can stay comfortable in bed, with electricity, and even a ceiling fat (V important in Ontario heatwaves)!

Just behind their home, Pedro shares a large and beautiful yard with visitors. This could be in the bunkie, but also in a tent or a trailer in his driveway.

As you can see, the bunkie is along the back edge of his property with sprawling views behind and only a short drive to some beaches.

Would you guess this is a bathroom? It's the cutest thing I've ever seen, inside there's a toilet, mirror, sink and shower!

Goats, dogs, chickens, an animal lovers paradise.

Pedro even has a projector and screen as well as some subscriptions to different streaming providers so guests can have a fun and cozy "drive-in" experience from their tent or a chair.

We loved staying at Mojitoville! 

The site was secluded and clean, and had really handy amenities. We loved sitting around the fire pit after cooking up a nice meal on the grill. The washing up station was super handy for cleaning up afterwards, and the on site shower was great to freshen up the next morning. 

Denise was very responsive to any questions and was a great host.

Highly recommend this awesome site.
