The campsite is nice, it’s small and right between ucluelet and Tofino. Each rv site is walled by trees so you get a bit of privacy. The RV site has a socket (large appliance socket, for for RV, but you need an adapter to plug a household appliance into it). It also has a water hookup, but it’s low to the ground so you can’t just use it as a spigot: you need a short hose. The ground is hard rocks of course, so if you put a tent there, bring padding or a mat. It has a picnic table on site, which is nice. The bathrooms are portable potties, inside a little wooden shelter. No water in them. Across the street is the visitor center, and it has a men’s, a women’s, and a special needs washroom open 24 hours. There’s leopard slugs all over the place, so be careful where you step. You do hear highway noises, but only during the day: at night the traffic dies, so it’s quiet.

Stayed in early august, tenting party of two moms and two teens. The campground is a bit busy with overnight parking permits too but the atmosphere at the campground was kept really civil and quiet at night, no obnoxious partying. The surf shop and morning cafe food truck were great. RV sites are roomy and well seperated and in impeccable shape, we used ours for tenting and it was lovely with giant trees backing it up. The tenting only sites look very close together and probably best left to serious surfers who just want somewhere to crash. There is some noise from adjacent traffic on the highway, it dies down and is quiet from about midnight to 7:00 am. Be aware there are porta potties and no showers! (normal for Tofino surfer camping but some in my party were surprised). Had a great time, loved it.
