Fireflies Way
Nicole and Jack's place is absolutely beautiful. The campsite with the river view was a delight - it was secluded, well-maintained and surrounded by gorgeous trees. The restrooms and showers were very clean. Nicole and Jack are amazing, warm hosts who welcomed us with open arms and made sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They checked on us regularly and shared wonderful stories. They also arranged a tubing trip for us which was great! We would love to come back!

Just excellent
what an awesome experience!! Nikki and Jack are the best hosts, they are so friendly, helpful and attentive. It was our first time using our camper and it was a big success, we had a wonderful big site for our 22 foot Rpod, plus 1 tent, for 4 people, we paddled the beautiful Tippecanoe and Jack provided a shuttle which was so nice because we had more time to enjoy there campground, we swam in the awesome pool and used the hot tub, clean great bathroom and great showers, sunrise and sunsets were amazing , and we enjoyed the restaurant recommendation from Nikki in town , we will be back, Loved it !!

If You’re Looking For a Lazy River
We had a lovely experience at Brighter Days. Our hosts Nicole and Jack were very welcoming and accommodating, as well as Gus the groundskeeper. It was a bit chilly so we didn’t get to tube the nearby river (gorgeous by the way) or take advantage of the sparkling clean in-ground pool. Would have loved to stay a bit longer in the warmer summer months to take advantage of both. The public showers/bathrooms were clean and they were nice enough to fill our fresh water tank upon arrival. We slept like babies listening to the river run and enjoying the fact that there was absolutely zero traffic noise. I would recommend this site 100% :)

Tent camping with family of four
I had a wonderful weekend tent camping with my family at Lochloosa. The farm fresh eggs were delicious. The firewood was perfect, took the smallest piece of cardboard to get it roaring. The property was full of friendly respectful neighbor campers! Nice clean bathroom and showers. Gorgeous pool and nice hot tub overlooking the river. Plenty of nice sitting spots, even a suspended hammock swing which my 3 year old was a huge fan of. Nikki is a welcoming, friendly host. She checked on us and even gave us a gift!! I highly recommend Lochloosa River Camp Retreat to anyone interested in enjoying the beauty of the river, woods, creek and fields.

Best Hosts/Amenities Ever Rural IN
Nikki & Jack were the best hosts-from ?'s b4 booking and thru the stay. They are experienced hosts with the most lovely, peaceful & amenity-filled location right on beautiful frontage to Tippiecanoe River. The stream next to many of the sites is relaxing to the eyes/ears. The bathroom/shower is best ever & cleanest ever! The hosts are helpful if you have a problem (like a bike fix or help w/kayak trip vehicle at the take-out), & are just the right amount of attention to your needs, while giving you privacy. Conversation is really fun about the property, the area & their life experiences. If you love music you'll find much to talk about :). This stay was rural yet provided activities on and near the property-don't miss the pool in season, campfires, kayaking, site seeing (Winamac, Lake Maxinkuckee, State Parks). Venture thru their woods & say hi to the goat and chickens & keep walking and you'll find the walk-in tent sites that give spectacular views of the river. If you have a group there's plenty of room for you to circle around the field & still enjoy all the property/area hosts have to offer. Best all-around camping experience ever. I miss it already. Don't forget to ask Nikki about the name "Lochloosa". And for some free-range eggs!

We had a good time camping for one night. Hosts were very understanding regarding our delayed arrival. Restrooms were clean. Kids got to see goats and chickens in the AM, worked well for us.

Site 2 - Creek Side Night to Remember
All in All, a Magnificent Spot!
We camp regularly and this experience was an A+ in every way! First, the location a fantastic. It is a beautiful drive to this spot, surrounded by lovely, quiet farms. The property itself is wonderful! The camp spots are clean and spacious, with a wooded creek on one side and expansive farmland on the other. Looking out west provided the most magnificent sunsets! And we saw a deer galloping through the corn! The pool was a delightful surprise for us all. It has a slide and diving board for the kids and sits on the bank of the Tippecanoe River. We also spent quite a bit of time on pier, simply gazing down the river. The real perk here was the CLEAN BATHROOMS!!! We had easy access to hot showers and clean facilities, which, as we all know, makes a world of difference. There is a lot to do nearby. We fell in love with Culver beach. It is clean, clear water with a lovely sand beach. I wish we could have spent more time here. Across from the beach is a lovely cafe, and some restaurants. There is also some fun boutique shopping. Make sure to take a drive around the lake and visit the Lake Max Beach Bar and Marina. We are vegan and had a delightful lunch here (service/food = great!). Finally.....our hosts. So welcoming and helpful. I had some conversations with Nikki, which I will treasure for much time to come. All in all a magnificent spot! A+++

First camping trip success!!!
We had an excellent experience camping on Nicoles campground. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They let us settle in a different site and even trailered some of our gear to the spot.
They have a few nice spots in the woods that are secluded from other sites for privacy.
Restrooms/Shower was well maintained and stocked. An extremely enjoyable experience.. 10/10 would camp there again!
P.S if you haven't actually had a fresh egg that didn't come from a store.. purchase a dozen or so of these golden yolked beauties

Lochloosa River Retreat Group Camp
My family had so much fun here! The kids loved playing in the babbling creek and looking for stones! The next morning, they talked about how cool it was to hear it put them to sleep! Even though we did not get to do a float, we still got plenty wet with the in-ground pool and slide! We all had a great time wandering around the woods, that had some trails too! Having indoor bathrooms with showers was a plus too! The hosts even brought us fresh eggs from their chickens that are there on the property! Nikki and Jack are awesome hosts! They can count on our family returning many times!

We loved camping next to the creek with the view of the river! Great property with excellent amenities for camping with kids, just 15 minutes from downtown Culver. Nicole and Jack are excellent hosts! Look forward to our next stay there.

Site 3 - Creek Side Night to Remember
I loved listening to the creek as out back ground music. I've never been anywhere this quiet in my life. The nature sounds were all you could hear. We rented 2 sites next to each other 2 and 3. There were 4 of us ( all adults) Only site 5 had people on it. So we basically had the space of sites 1 2 3 and 4. So it was very private. It was a very peaceful time. Didn't have time to use the pool but am looking forward to doing that soon. I definitly see a big family camp outing in the future. Hosts were very friendly and very accommodating. We rented the kayaks and they drove us and helped with arranging everything. They came and asked us if we needed firewood just at the right time. Saved us a trip from having to go up to the house. The bathrooms were spacious and clean and hot water was great. Highly recommend. If you want more privacy or have a larger group reserving 1 through 3 is what I recommend. Next time I would love to reserve the site next to the river that is in the process

Had a wonderful time at the campsite. The hosts were exceptionally helpful and very friendly and went over and above in making sure our trip was enjoyable! Kayaking was great and the river was not crowded. The site was very clean and quiet. We loved listening to the creek all night. The sky was beautiful both day and night. We will definitely be back😉

Absolutely loved our creek side stay! Our kids (ages 6-12) love exploring so I was hopeful this spot would keep them entertained for hours and I wasn’t let down!! The hosts were kind and accommodating and everything about our stay was peaceful and easygoing. Even our puppy had a great time at this property. If you get the chance, he sure to book a river floating excursion!!

Camping with pool access!
Nicole was very good at communicating prior to the stay and her spot was great! If you are looking for a spot that has some things to do around it, this is a solid option. The pool and river access were fantastic. If you are looking for a secluded campsite, you might have better luck elsewhere but we still were happy with our privacy.

Nicole and Jack are very nice people with a great property! The bathrooms and showers are very clean. The pool (saltwater) is awesome. I’d recommend talking to them about a float trip on the river and we may be heading back later this summer!
