You’ll find Peterson Prairie Campground shaded by trees and surrounded by fields of Huckleberry, which you can pick and eat (and toss on a pie for dessert?). Just off a paved road, the campground has graveled sites, so it’s easily accessible by vehicles.

Just curious if huckleberries are ripe for the season yet?

The yellow jackets (aka: meat bees) are crazy dense at certain times of year. They go to bed at night, but they're seriously unpleasant dining companions. Those who are allergic should totally avoid this place.
