Description

Bought with funds from Green Acres bond act of 1961, Wawayanda State Park opened to the public two-years after being purchased. Originally home to some of the state's choking iron-smelting furnaces of the late-60’s, you can still see glimpses of Wawayanda State Park’s grayed past, appearing like smut-cloaked entities from the now pristine vegetation. And, swept by group campsites, you and your fifteen-plus will be well-accommodated amongst the area’s rich history.
