Hacienda Monte Rey near El Yunque

The property has been in the Monge family since the 1940's bought by Jose Monge Marquez. The campsite is located in a private property in the outskirts of El Yunque Rainforest in the town of Luquillo. The campsite areas and facilities are about 8 out of 43 acres of all the private property of rainforest, flowers, palm trees, and various fruit trees. The Sabana River, one of many that originate from El Yunque National Rainforest, the river goes through the property. All the campsites are close by the river with each having their own access and individual fire pits. The local attractions are: -El Yunque National Rainforest 15 minute drive up the mountain. -Las Paylas rockslides (2 minute drive & 8 minutes walking). -The Luquillo beaches which are La Pared, Playa Azul, Barneario de Luquillo. Los Kioskos de Luquillo, ect. (10 minutes drive). We look forward to hosting you!

When you book this place it will be totally reserved for you. The property is still recovering as all our forests are, after massive hurricane in 2017. You will see many trees growing back again. Most of them are native and protected.

Things to know before you book: *This is a Glamping tent with a queen-sized bed, a fan, one electrical outlet, and no air conditioning. *This Glamping accommodation is only for two persons *Visitors are not allowed *This is an adult only accommodation * No pets allowed, including service animals or emotional support animals, due to host health concerns. *In this two-acre land property are located two glamping tents that share 1.5 bathrooms and a small kitchen with two fully equipped tiny houses all of them with their area but sharing the patio, gazebos, and pool table. *Even though each tent has its open shower with cold water, just a few steps from your tent you will also have access to an outdoor shower with hot water. *During the day it is possible to hear some music in the distance from the river above Casa Parcha visitors. *We have direct access to the river so safety information must be signed by our guests on the reservation day and if you go swimming or exploring you go at your own risk. We have no lifeguard on duty. *We are also surrounded by nature that maybe you will want to explore, please do not hesitate to ask about the risks, you can enjoy nature but always exercise good judgment.
