Pucker Up Berry Farm is located at the bottom of Becky Mountain within minutes to Dupont State Forest, Pisgah National Forest, and downtown Brevard. This property was uninhabited for over 75 years until recently purchased in September 2017. Since taking ownership, we have established a small farm and berry orchard to supply customers with high antioxidant fruits, vegetables, and berries. Hipcampers will enjoy the morning and evening chatter of birds, gorgeous mountain sunsets, and easy access to local forests, trails, and restaurants. Learn more about this land: Campers can expect a mountainside view, landscaped gardens, a berry orchard, farm art, and a gallery of bird sounds and sightings throughout your stay. Enjoy beautiful sunset views from above the orchard. The space feels friendly and welcoming! Your campsite includes numerous tent spots, a large fire pit, four wooden adirondack chairs, four plastic adirondack chairs, a 16x16 covered kitchen space with electricity, a mini fridge, cooking supplies, a picnic table, an outhouse, an outdoor shower, and a large space for outdoor games. A chicken pen and a few trees line the upper part of the site. The flower and vegetable gardens are above the campsite, and the 150' x 200' orchard extends up into the woods/mountainside. Guests are encouraged explore the orchard, gardens, and orchard perimeter throughout their stay. It is important for our guests to get an experience. We encourage you to pick a flower and put it in your hair. Or, maybe you want to cut a whole vase full of bright showy flowers and learn the components of a complete arrangement ($25/ in season guided tour). You should definitely harvest a head (or two!) of lettuce for a large salad at the picnic table. Ever caught a chicken? We want you to ask for the experience you desire. Nearly every day there is a small challenge, nothing comes easy, but all the coziness and comfort is there. The water is supplied by a spring above the mill. Electricity is generated by solar technology and a generator. All refrigeration and cooking appliances are propane; and so is the basic heat (propane again) - and a very old Jotul wood stove will do the rest. I sleep a lot on the day bed in the living room so the Sawmill can be comfortably rented for up to 4 guests. The outhouse is a thing of the past, just recently I installed a compositing toilet besides the bedroom.We also offer The Summit which is a high elevation, 2-story cabin surrounded by national forest which has evolved into an off-grid living and play space located at nearly 3300 feet elevation on a 1/2 acre flat with an incredible view. There are very private old forest service trails leading directly into the Pisgah National Forest.

This 1 room cabin includes 1 King bed, pullout queen sofa, large comfy chair, dining table for 4, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, grill, picnic table, fire pit, cooking essentials, towels, and linens. This cabin is next to a bathhouse. There is a mens and womens restroom. Both restrooms are equipped with 6 showers, 4 stalls, and 8 sinks. You will have complete access to restrooms and showers. You will also have access to the gameroom and exercise room. Across from the cabin is a large pasture and our animals.
