Overlook Lean-To, Treehouse, primitive campsites, and so much more! This is glamping at its finest. Our property was originally used as a seasonal hunting/fishing camp in the 1920's. Sheila and Bob bought it in the early 80s and have turned it into an amazing compound built for their family. They blinked their eyes and their children are gone, so this beautiful 50 acre diverse property and its private trail system are meant to be shared.

Nestled in a mature, private pine forest, this well cared for property boasts abundant wildlife and a network of walking, skiing and mountain biking trails which take you past wetlands, cliffs and a variety of forest types. They have all kinds of lodging options from a beautiful vacation cabin they rent, to an Adk lean-to, to a Treehouse, and primitive campsites. You'll find a little bit for everyone at Adirondack Adventure Base.

Fyi for future campers. ADK Mountain View will be undergoing changes to its current campsites. Per order of the Adirondack Park Agency. All sites will be moved as they have been deemed to close to jurisdictional wetlands. Please bear with us as we go through these changes. With that being said, any site you book at this time will not be in the same place at the time of your stay. Thank you.

This was a very old dairy farm owned by the Duntley Family. Old farming equipment dispersed throughout the property. An old foundation from a sugaring house. Beautiful old rock walls. Deer and wildlife galore.

Pitch your tent or bring your camper to our 150-acre working farm oasis. Beautiful views of the Adirondack Mountains. Easy drive to great hiking spots. Easy access in Essex for the ferry to Vermont. Lake Placid, high peaks 30 minutes. Or just relax at your campsite with a fire.

There is a water spigot to the left of the big brown metal building with easy access with the driveway in front of the building. 

Each site has its own outhouse, picnic table, two Adirondack chairs, fire ring with a cooking grate.

Snow mobile access during winter months.

Plenty of space to hang with friends, watch the sunset, cook your favorite camping dinner, and have a fire. Pets are welcome here, too!

Each campsite has an outhouse. Very clean, with fun photographs and paintings in each outhouse. Each outhouse has a fire extinguisher, wasp repellant, hand sanitizer, and toilet paper.

Sarah & Lou (the hosts) will provide firewood upon request. There are firepits at every campsite.

At this campsite location, you can watch the sunset behind the Adirondack mountains while lounging on a lounge bed!

Romantic Getaway

The cottage was built in the 1880s by a Keene Valley artist who loved its location on a high point with a beautiful view. Our family has owned the property since 1906, and we often stay in a house down the hill (not visible from the cottage). Keene Valley is a very special place for us, and almost everyone who comes to visit feels the same way. Learn more about this land:Come stay in our 1880s vintage summer cottage, built as a studio by a Keene Valley artist on a secluded and elevated spot in the center of the Adirondacks' High Peaks. It has a gorgeous view of Giant, Hopkins and Spread Eagle mountains. The summer cottage overlooks a cliff and is a few hundred yards from the nearest house, a classic Adirondack camp that shares its driveway but can't be seen. Even so, it is within walking distance of the village of Keene Valley, where you won't want to miss homemade donuts at the Noonmark Diner. Hikers love it because it's a 20-minute walk to The Garden, one of the largest and most popular trailheads in the Adirondacks that has very little parking.The cottage has a huge covered porch (not screened) that looks out on the mountains and functions as an outdoor dining room with a view. The accommodations are rustic but comfortable: a bedroom with a double bed; a kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker; a bathroom with a shower/bath; and a large sitting room with a stone fireplace and a futon that sleeps two. There is a one-room cabin nearby (also available for rent) with a screened porch that is perfect for sleeping in the summer.

The Goslings' Nest ...November through April...

Great big open living room with three couches (one is a sleeper sofa), farmhouse table that seats 12, and peninsula in the kitchen that seats 5.

Impressive, floor-to-ceiling, River Rock fireplace with wood burning stove insert to heat the house, I'm still with a glass front to enjoy the flame.

Well-equipped kitchen, with stove, oven, full size fridge and freezer, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher...

The chalet provides two clean and updated full bathrooms, both with shower and bathtub

An example of one of the four bedrooms. Two bedrooms have two twin beds in each, and two bedrooms have a king bed in each. There is also a bunk room that sleeps 3 guests in twin over twin with a twin trundle. We provide all linens: sheets, blankets, pillows, comforters, throw blankets in the living room, kitchen towels, brand new sponge, bath towels, washcloths, for your convenience.
