Description

For an off-the-cuff, literally freewheeling ORV experience, head on over to Middle Quartz Campground. The bare minimum is provided here, so you’ll need to fend for yourself. On the other hand, though, you can stay as long as you like without paying a dime and enjoy some premium four-wheel driving along routes used by miners more than 100 years ago. Delve even further into the past with a visit to the nearby Alpine Tunnel Historic Site.
