Site 2 - Tent Camping in the majestic trees
Overall, we enjoyed this space! The site was spacious and well-maintained. Getting to the site was a bit difficult, but fortunately, our vehicle could handle it because it would have been a lengthy and steep walk! The two sites are close together, but we were lucky enough to be the only campers during our trip. Access to the river, firewood, and water spigot wasn't super clear, but the host was extremely responsive and answered our questions. It's a nice home base especially if you are planning to explore surrounding nature. Lots of trails and activities about 20 minutes away at Douthat State Park!

This site is a great chance to see if your AWD vehicle actually works! We had a Subaru Crosstrek and Outback, which both made it up but not without some struggle. You probably wouldn’t want to attempt anything lower to the ground than that. Otherwise, you can walk up. Booked this as a friend and I were passing through the area and it’s a beautiful campsite with a fire ring and small wooden table. You’re up high, so views in multiple directions if you get there before leaves are on the trees. Pretty working farm complete with some cute dogs and a rooster (I think) to wake you up in the morning. I wish we had more time to spend here!

Site 1 - Tent Camping in the majestic trees
If you want to get away from daily life and get more in touch with the natural world this place is definitely it. Amazing views and the air is so crisp. The drive there is even amazing. I do recommend taking a 4 wheel drive vehicle it’ll make it a lot easier. But even if you have to carry some of your stuff up it still feels like an accomplishment. I can’t wait til me and the fam come again.

Amazing property
This property was 100% perfect! Mountain Views everywhere you look. The campsites are at a nice elevation to get a view of the farm as well. The river was great, very clean/clear with nice places to sit. Couldn't be any better! Will be back for sure.

This place is amazing! The road to get up there is a bit more steep than I had anticipated, but totally doable in my Highlander. I look forward to visiting this place again.

The Gypsy Rose
Nothing but Good Vibes.
We loved the peace and tranquility the Gypsy Rose provided for us on our stay. I could sense all the love and hard work that went into building it the moment I stepped foot into the wagon. Caroline was very welcoming and quick to respond to any questions we had. The land is beautiful and offers scenic views of the mountains and very convenient access to the crystal clear Cow Pasture river at the back of the property. There were many different sights to see and trials to hike in various places close by. We will definitely be back in the spring/summer to take more advantage of the beautiful river. 10/10 would recommend!
