Overflow (No Hookups)
If your stuck with no open sites available then its a great option. Extremely basic but its a place you can pitch a tent. Ground is very hard so may need to use rocks to secure tent ties down. Rest rooms across the main road along with Colorado river.

Base camp Moab
Very nice campsite centrally located to all the trails in Moab. Perfect for base camp and the rates were great!!

At the time we were staying there road work was being done. The RV park is literally off the highway. Semis constantly using their j brakes. The road construction crew keep coming into the site and dumping dirt so they were loud, dusty and we were afraid of leaving our dogs outside with us. We were told we had WiFi but it didn’t work and we didn’t get any reception.

Friendly and clean
Dark & away from the downtown crowds. Just outside Moab, clean facilities, and large spaces make me happy to recommend Red Desert RV Park.

Highway noise
To be fair, I did not pay a great deal of attention to where this park was in relation to the highway when i booked. It is Right By the highway, jack brakes and all. Many ATV vehicles in the park as well, one came in at 1:30 in the morning. So no, I would not return here again. If however you have a big rig and are not bothered by sound levels, then you have water, electricity, and sewer. The beautiful, new shower house is wonderful and they were thoughtful enough to put in a family shower room. Not much room between sites, all gravel. Ice on site and laundry.
