Close to the dog park
This is a great place to stay. It’s about a half hour away from Palo Duro Canyon. The sites at the back of the park have a nice view of pastures. The bathrooms were sparkling clean.
After staying at other Texas campgrounds, I can tell you what it doesn’t have: goatheads! They have done a fantastic job of keeping the noxious weeds off the property.
Away from road
Overall we had a good trip but we were definitely surprised pulling up and seeing "off the road" was maybe 30 yards off the road.
The "playground" was also a deciding factor for choosing this campground and it was far from your typical playground. There was a teetertot, a small climbing dome,a wagon and a few bikes for toddlers. My kids were still thrilled with the "playground", it was just a surprise.
We loved the small-feel of the campground. You could see the entire park from any site, which I liked so the kids could play while we set up.
We felt safe, it was relatively quiet and the bathroom/shower house was extremely clean.

Camping with Dogs!!
I enjoyed staying at The Silos! Very easy to find and park! My dogs enjoyed the dog park to run and play before the long drive! Bathrooms and showers were very clean!
