This is an original Oregon trail homestead with a story. A farm hand married the daughter and took over on the 640 acre ranch. Our 50 acres is certified organic diverse habitat, gardens, pastures and animals of all kinds. You can help with chores if you like. We encourage you to get your hands dirty and learn about our farming methods. We are family owned and operated and require all campers to be checked in before dark as we work with the sun and sleep with the moon.

Site 3 - Tent/Car Site

Great Outdoor Stay

1) Location. Views of the snow-capped Cascades in May from the crest of Old Stage Road. Form now on when coming from the north, I'll take Old Stage from (the second) Gold Hill (exit) when visiting either Medford or Jacksonville. It's a beautiful road. Both the tent\RV spaces and the glamping tents are located high on the hill, above the farm, in a beautiful meadow with a pond at the top. Spacious picnic area with tables and fire trays. 2) Happy Animals. Friendly dogs, curious pigs, gamboling lambs, and a fantasy chicken town are among the highlights. 3) Host. Busy, very nice, and always improving the place. The shower is super, and even the outhouse is fresh and smart looking. It's a great alternative to Medford's cheap motels and Ashland's expensive ones. I'm ready for another trip.

Happy Hip Campers

We loved Lara's property for an overnight stay in our camper van. We we're heading north up I-5 from a long day's drive and decided to find a place to camp instead of grinding out another 3 hours north to home. We pulled up our trusty Hipcamp app and quickly found Lara's property and booked a spot for the night. We could not have been happier. Thanks again Lara! B&K

Site 1 RV/Car/Tent Site with a view

Camp on a farm!

We had such an amazing time on Lara’s farm! Even though it rained we enjoyed our stay so much and can’t wait to come back. It was quiet, peaceful, and we felt so safe on the fated farm. Lara greeted us and showed us where everything was. We also went on the farm tour and got some grape juice! We loved learning about Lara and her family and their beautiful farm. The baby pigs were so cute and our daughter loved holding the chicks. My husband and I enjoyed learning about there regenerative practices on the farm and seeing the cool gardens. We truly enjoyed our visit!

Site 2 - Car/Tent/Hammock Camping

My husband and I really enjoyed staying here! We drove all the way from Ohio to catch the eclipse. This place was quiet and very clean. We didn't get a chance to go see the farm animals but we would have loved to see them. Bathroom and showers we very comfortable and clean. The host was very friendly, helpful and responsive. We would definitely love to stay here again.

Site 2 - Car/Tent/Hammock Camping

Peaceful and perfect!

We loved our stay! This place is so beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommended! The campsites are well thought out, spacious, and each has its own lovely view of the farm and its wide open spaces. The shower is awesome and made from reclaimed wood. The composting toilet space is so cute and adorable. The host was awesome, great with communication and provided the perfect balance of privacy and accessibility if we had questions.
