Rig damage and took work!
The entrance to property had fresh non compacted gravel on a truck indicated 9% grade... No big problem thanks to 4wd. Took the circle drive on right to enter camp. While driving around circle, un trimmed trees scratched truck and trailer both before I knew it.... lovely. Then campsite 10 was upon us...and the two small trees at its entrance that are very close to the gravel pad requires two people to keep an eye on them so you can barely get a 29 ft travel trailer and f250 onto site.... managed to get that done without casualties just to find out the site had recently been resurfaced with 10 inches of non compacted gravel and sunk my tires in up to the wheels. Spent the next 20 minutes or so backing up and pulling forward trying to use the trailer to compact the gravel and get enough "level ground " to allow anderson levelers to then be used on one side to get trailer almost level at their highest point. Finally set up, get rv entry door opened , maximum extension of entry step legs isn't enough to make entry steps level but we just went with it since it was only a 1 night stay for a graduation. Next morning, time to use full hook ups. Faucet at site had bent rod in it so turning water on and off requires tools, dumping tanks was ok! Power disconnect requires some knowledge of breaker operation and identification (multiple breakers for multiple sites all in one panel), service panel door operation (more tools required to open panel and access breakers). Will stay elsewhere

Loved tent camping on the upper part of the campground. At the time of our stay there was no one else there and it was very peaceful and relaxing. They view is beautiful from atop and the river access area is scenic as well. If I were to ever visit the area again I surely would stay here.

Camping in a Pop-Up with dogs
Absolutely gorgeous views and close to the water. Fire pits were provided, and a bathroom facility was there with a shower if needed. Some gorgeous trails to take by the riverbed. Would 100% follow the hosts directions on the site, but be advised there's no American flag at the entrance. Look for the Hipcamp sign. Would absolutely stay again.

A wonderful place to stay
This was a great place to stay. Not too far off the main road but very secluded. Great spot on a ridge giving great sunrises and sunsets. If you walk down the hill you come to a great little river to sit by and enjoy being nowhere.

This is very secluded area high onto of a hill. There are 11 campsites that have electric, water and sewer. They are close together and there are no tree's around for shade. If you want to get to the Niangua River, you have to walk down a long steep gravel hill. It is really beautiful once you get down there. Or you can turn right at the entrance and drive about a mile and there is a nice big spot to fish, swim or have a picnic. Do not follow mapquest to get to this campground. We made that mistake and took D highway and almost didn't make it. The road is bumpy, no shoulder and has several big hills we almost didn't make up even with 4 wheel drive. Follow the directions that are provided. Make sure you have everything you need before you get here. It is at least a 20 min drive to the nearest town. Overall the weather was very nice. Collecting about 10-12 morel mushrooms.
