It is easy to get into the site with no obstructions. The sites are located behind a Market that has great food, beer, liquor and snacks. The site is located 1 mile from the Antietam National Battlefield. Also located less than 3 miles is the Potomac River where you can enjoy kayaking or fishing. There are tons to do in the historic town, as well as the neighboring town of Shepherdstown. There are no hook ups. There are no bathroom amenities here. (coming soon)

Camping Close To History!

Good Zzzzzzzzzs!

It was a lovely spot, no frills, perfect for just getting off the road and getting some sleep! Even the thunderstorm was lovely.

Camping Close To History!

As good as it gets!

It is an exceptional location. It's literally just a few feet from Antietam battlefield. The visitor center is visible from where I set up. It also abuts the National Cemetery. This is as close to hallowed ground as possible. The site is grassy and open. A bit of nearby commercial uses, but not an issue at all. Shepherdstown is nearby for a beer in the Rathskeller pub at the Bavarian Inn. I took a quick trip to Hagerstown for some outlet shopping. 15 minutes from Aldi and Walmart. Simply a wonderful trip!
