Paisano Azul Ranch is on 30 acres located by Terlingua Creek. The property is just minutes from the Terlingua Ghost Town and a short 3 mile drive to the Big Bend National park. Come pitch your tent or park your camper amid the peaceful desert hillside with views of plateaus that lead to the Chisos Mountains in Big Bend National Park. There is a fire pit on site for you to toast marshmallows or cozy up near, and you can enjoy a bite to eat at the picnic table provided at each site. The picnic tables are placed beneath shade sails. There are two nice and new desert tan flushing Porta-Potties on-site, as well as showers for guests to use. These come in handy after a long day hiking. We hope you'll enjoy the beautiful open sky sunsets, sunrises, and stargazing as much as we do. We are located just 3 miles from the entrance to Big Bend National Park. There are plenty of opportunities to get out and explore - you can hike, bike, canoe & kayak, off-road, swim, go horseback riding, visit hot springs, as well as visit restaurants, galleries, and listen to great music in Terlingua. There is something for everyone to feel free to bring the whole family. Additional details to note: - We now have an above ground pool to keep cool in during the summer! Covered with a shade sail the water stays nice and chilly. ($10 fee/person) - You can stay connected if you'd like to, as cell reception and wifi are both available on our property. Feel free to unplug during your stay though. - Seeing other campers on your trip at the campsite is very standard, as the sites are far enough apart to feel like they are yours, but they are not private. - Potable water is provided on-site. We have an artisan well on property that has been certified as drinkable. It is double filtered to give you the best drinking water. Please feel free to reach out with any questions and we look forward to your stay.

Paisano Azul Ranch - "El Groupo"
Great big group site! No shade.
This was an awesome campsite with a beautiful view! Love that the tent spots are marked out and the cactus often marked with rocks. It was HOT in early April, almost slept outside. Unfortunately The shade cloth was not attached at the campsite and the instructions for WiFi access were dated and we couldn’t access it, even from the showers. Unfortunately the host wasn’t able to respond with updated instructions in time. Overall, a fantastic pit stop with nice amenities! Shade and internet were important amenities we would have also liked in the cost of the campsite.

Site 6 - "The Oasis" at Paisano Azul Ranch
Overall it was a very good experience. My site was really good. However some of the other (in fact most) were crowded together more than I would want. If that doesn't matter to you then do it. Showers worked well and toilet was comfy and not stinky. Biggest plus it is close to the Park entrance. If I could be sure to have the same spot again I would absolutely go back.

Site 5 - "The Oasis" at Paisano Azul Ranch
The portal potties were clean, showers well maintained, very quiet at night. The only down fall is the location not able to see the sun set/sunrise, plus side of it, it is very dark to star gaze at night.

Paisano Azul Ranch - "El Groupo"
Just a campsite
The host was not communicative at all. I asked 3 diff times questions about our vehicles, the water that was said to be provided, the WiFi, the bathrooms, the shower, & still never got a response. The campsite was a place to sleep. It had a port a potty and two picnic tables. I would not pay $90 for this place again especially with the host never getting back to us about the essentials which would have made this campsite more expensive.

Site 3 - "The Oasis" at Paisano Azul Ranch
Truly an oasis
It was the perfect spot for relaxing and unwinding after a long day of hiking. The showers had hot water and the restrooms were perfectly clean. I can confidently say that for a first time camper this place made it so easy. Highly recommend!! Would 10/10 stay here again!
