Eclipse Farm Field Tent Camping
A stellar experience!
Nestled amidst the rustic charm of a working farm, our recent camping experience at this picturesque site was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, greeted warmly by the hosts, to the unforgettable eclipse viewing, every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations.
The hosts went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment throughout our stay. Their genuine hospitality and eagerness to share their farm's beauty and activities added an extra layer of magic to the experience. Whether it was helping us load out our gear or offering insider tips on exploring the surrounding area, they went above and beyond. Also, be sure to try Ray Ray’s, the chicken and waffles were AMAZING!
The campsite itself was a haven for nature lovers. Tucked away in a serene corner of the farm, surrounded by rolling hills and lush greenery, it offered the perfect setting for a peaceful retreat. The spacious camping area provided ample room for tents, ensuring privacy while still fostering a sense of community among fellow campers.
But the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the rare opportunity to witness the eclipse. With clear skies and unobstructed views, the farm proved to be an ideal spot for this celestial spectacle. As the moon slowly obscured the sun, the wildlife of the farm became to act as if twilight had come. It was such a unique and beautiful way to experience the event.
There are a ton of activities to stay entertained and we hope to be back very soon!

Eclipse Farm Field Tent Camping
I loved the place where we tent/ camp. Have great atmosphere, great hosts and attention to the folks every day. Amazing scenery, amazing walking path. Fishing at lake opportunity. They had entertainment for the family. Great food, great games for kids of all ages. Opportunity to pet animals , playgrounds, and chill with folks, chat on the fire circle. In addition every camp site was able to create their own fire. My family and friends had a great time. We will def. come back. We were a party of 6 adults, 2 teenagers y 2 toddlers - everyone had a phenomenal time.

Great Camping Experience
Camping at Idle Creek Farms was really nice. We had a few first time campers with us, so being able to unload the car at our site and having a food truck on the property really helped ease them into camping. A lot of people were at Idle Creek to watch the eclipse, but there was enough land that we were all able to spread out. They had prepared a bunch of firewood for campers left in large piles around the ranch, so that was really nice as well.
Idle Creek had lots of activities like axe throwing, a petting zoo, and jump pad. I think those last two were meant for kids, but our crew of adults had a lot of fun with them as well.

Beautiful property! Super family friendly but good for adults and couples too. If I find myself in Texas Hill Country again I would return.

Eclipse Farm Field Tent Camping
I highly recommend!!
Wonderful sites. My nephew & I sleep in hammocks. The hosts held some options for site especially for you. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the axe throwing, archery, s’mores around the campfire. I usually do one or two day backpacking and spend the night on the trail. If I am interested in just camping or car camping returning here is at the top of the list. I think that this is a great place for introductory camping for families with younger children.

Eclipse camping was amazing!!
We had a group of 10 in 5 tents. adults and two kids 7 and 13. There was something for everyone! Out of all the campsites we have been to, Idle Creek has the best hosts. Very accommodating and checked on us daily. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The food truck was awesome, horseback riding, small animals, ax throwing, and zip line...what more could you ask for? We would definitely go back and most definitely when there is an eclipse.
