When you visit our little "piece" on Earth we hope you feel the "peace" we do.  After spending many years living in the city, we found a place where we feel the calm and solitude we've been wanting and needing for a long time. Now, we want to share it with you.  A 10-acre "piece" of "peace" on Earth.  Come join us for a day or two.  Settled on a secluded hillside in a rural valley near the Columbia River, Fern Hill Cabin is a perfect getaway. Surround yourself with 10 acres of forest and trails. Relax in a hammock on the hillside. Let nature and quiet soothe your weary mind. Wander trails in our woods. Watch the stars by firelight (in season). Melt into the comfortable queen bed for a rejuvenating night’s sleep. There are also several restaurants five miles away in Rainier, OR. Weddings/events are also welcome (contact us for photos of the barn venue and bar).

Adorable & clean cabin in the woods
We loved this cute little cabin in the woods! Super friendly host, clear instructions for arrival and the cabin was very clean and had every amenity we could have asked for. Beautiful views and a peaceful location. We would stay here again for sure!

Brian was incredibly generous host. He greeted us with in an extremely friendly manner and showed us around the cabin. He was gracious and kind the whole welcoming. The cabin was incredibly cute, just enough solitude without feeling isolated. It was perfect for a peaceful getaway. We will be back!

COZY CABIN
This is our first trip on Hipcamp! What a great place to stay! Brian and Heather are gracious hosts. We took the dogs down to Brian's Bar Friday night and hung out with him and the neighbors. Everyone was so friendly. Such a cool place! We took several hikes on trails around the cabin. Hung out on the front porch and enjoyed the firepit in the morning and at night. The toilet is out of this world cool! The shower is so nice! The bed is very comfortable. The cabin is super cozy and spacious. We will be back for sure!! Thank you Brian and Heather for a wonderful Birthday weekend!

Cheerful hillside studio cabin
Cozy and restful
What a cheerful stay! We relaxed, we made art, we took a walk in the trees…it was perfectly pleasant and we hope to be back! The cabin was clean, cozy, fully stocked with kitchen supplies, bathroom extras, blankets abundant. The shower is gorgeous and piping hot and our host was friendly and welcoming and gave us the grace of a private lil vaca.

Cheerful hillside studio cabin
The cabin was so cute and cozy! Brian supplied every amenity that you could hope for to make our stay comfortable and fun. We really enjoyed the fresh winter air wandering around in the woods around the cabin. The fireplace on the deck was such a nice spot to visit, drink coffee and take in the sights. Brian is such a welcoming host and we would highly recommend staying here for a refreshing step away from it all to recharge. The only thing I would have changed was planning on staying for one more night.
