This private, breathtaking property is nestled directly on the Neversink River, located just one mile from Exit 109 off NY-17 (new I-86). Join us on 3 sprawling acres, and enjoy the serene beauty of the Neversink River. The property is ideal for anyone looking to escape to a secluded, quiet area, with everything from Bald Eagles, Deer, Rabbits, and other local wildlife. Fell free to step right into the shallow river, just footsteps from your tent, and enjoy some smores by the riverside firepit. The river typically doesn't exceed more than 3 feet of depth throughout the entire property (unless high rain totals). Relatively short drives to local attractions include the newly renovated Holiday Mountain Ski & Fun Park (1.2 miles), Resorts World Catskills Casino (2.6 miles), the Kartrite Indoor Water Park (2.9 miles), and Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (18.4 mile), home to the 1969 Woodstock music festival. 2 gas stations, a liquor store and supermarket are also within 2 miles of the property, as well as local eateries. We recommend bringing inflatables and or kayaks to take advantage of the beautiful river. Guests can drop in a few miles up river, and float down to the campsite. Trip can take anywhere from 1 hour to 3 hours depending on current flow and or paddle strength. We hope to have you stay with us!The 3 acre camping area is manicured grass and wild forest, with walking paths throughout the property. The Isle is surrounded by water, with one access way for vehicles, and another for foot traffic. Natural local vegetation can be seen throughout the campsite. Expect beautiful views both up-river and down-river, with the spectacular American Bald Eagle and other local birds constantly soaring through the river basin. Campers can expect private areas of the island, great for sunbathing and or picnicking. The campsite was once a family run tree nursery, which supplied locals with trees, shrubs, and flowers sourced from all over the world, starting all the way back in the 1880's. The entire property (120+ acres) has been in the family since the 1790's, and remains to this day. Remnants still remain of the once successful business, but have been covered by years of overgrowth. Some trees have the remaining burlap sacks still around the root ball. Walking and biking is very popular along the river, as the entire road is located right alongside the water. Kayaking and rafting are ideal for the property. 2 Gas stations, a liquor store and supermarket are less than 2 miles away, with local eateries within the vicinity as well. Feel free to ask the host about local recommendations for food and entertainment.

The Neversink River Isle

Blake’s spot along the river was wonderful. We stayed with another family and had a great time. The camping spot was right along the water and really well maintained, with plenty of space for our kids to roam around. Even though it’s close to a quiet residential road (and occasionally could hear trucks on 17) we quickly stopped noticing and were able to fully enjoy being outside. Sunset was beautiful. Blake was super responsive and gave us some great recommendations. Rock Hill is so close it makes it easy to run out and get something if needed. Highly recommend for groups looking for a relaxing place to be together - and the river was truly wonderful to be along.

Great overland/rtt campsite!

Beautiful level grass covered campsite directly overlooking the Neversink river. Relatively secluded but close enough to major amenities. Looks like it will be great for swimming and kayaking in warmer weather. Great for the overland crowd as your rig sits direct river front. Blake answered every question within minutes and was very helpful at all times.

River front relaxation.

We absolutely loved this place, unfortunately we got hit with heavy rains and winds just about the whole time we were there, but it didn’t stop us from enjoying the beautiful scenery around us. We absolutely will be back and hopefully this time with some sunshine.

One of the best site on hipcamp

This is a amazing site, extremely tranquil and the perfect place to find some rear r&r. Blake is a great host, kept in contact to make sure we were good from beginning to end. There are some great hikes in the area but truthfully, just hanging on the site along the river is all we needed. The site is literally on its own peninsula. Highly recommend this site and we plan to make stops here again
