Looking for a stopover place with plenty of wide-open space? Maybe our site will be a match for you and your RV! Our house and shop and a few other outbuildings sit on 3.5 acres on a dead-end dirt lane, and we have space we'd be open to sharing with you. We have three friendly dogs who are generally free to roam our property at will (lab, Yorkie, pug-chihuahua cross) since we have an underground fence system, but they will generally be indoors with us since they will insist you are here to visit THEM. (Must love dogs. ♥️) IF YOU HAVE DOGS, please keep them on a leash and clean up after them appropriately, thanks! We have two areas for parking your unit. The side yard and the back “yard.” Depending upon the size of your rig and the status of irrigation on the back acreage, we will help choose which location is best for us and for you upon arrival. (We’ll keep in touch about this.) Back “yard.” —- The back half of our property (triangle-shaped) is almost completely unoccupied except for the massive poplar trees that line the west border. The trees are home to at least one great horned owl, hawks, an occasional pheasant (my fave!), other birds, and squirrels. The area you’ll park in (dry camping/boondocking) is like a big back yard since I irrigate and mow it. No neighbors in the back of our property except livestock from time to time as well as a small group of deer (pretty rare). While we aren’t riverfront property, you can see the Snake River from our back yard (where you’ll likely be parked). Side yard. — Several trees and some shade. There are some branches to navigate but there is ample space to choose an adequate parking location. This site runs alongside our driveway so our vehicles will be in your area, but your extra vehicle(s) can also be parked in the driveway for easy access. (This is our less preferred spot for you and primarily would be utilized when I am flood irrigating the back property.) It has much less privacy because it is near our dirt lane and in between our home and our neighbor’s shed (but they are family). Being almost next to the Snake River, and having a natural marsh just to the North of our property, mosquito repellant is highly recommended during certain times of the year. We are just a few miles (5 mins or so) from the freeway, Walmart, restaurants, and public access to the Snake River (boating, fishing, swimming), and golfing.

Pheasant Acres (Back/Side Yard)
Great for stopover
Great stopover spot on our road trip. Stacey's place accommodated our truck camper plus utility trailer. Directions/ instructions were good and they greeted us when we arrived after dark. Close to highway but very little road noise.

Pheasant Acres (Back/Side Yard)
We were passing through and Stacey was super hospitable and helped us get settled into a nice, flat, quiet spot for the night. Wish we could have stayed longer under the cottonwood trees.

Pheasant Acres (Back/Side Yard)
Nostalgia Inbound
Remember pitching a tent outside, in your front yard, when you were a kid? This is exactly the nostalgic feeling you’ll get when you stay with Stacey. You’ll feel like the wilderness explorer you always dreamed of being but in the comfort of “your” front yard. Stacey is an extremely hospitable host and was always just a call away. She greeted me whenever I arrived at her property and showed me to my spot. She has a flood light in her front yard that she showed me how to operate, thus giving me the option of having a lit or dark campsite. If you’ve forgotten any camping essentials or want a bite to eat, Stacey’s property is only a few minutes from the main hub off the interstate. If you are looking for peace, quiet and safety, her property is located on a dead end road, so there is little to no traffic. I was exceptionally pleased with my stay and will hopefully be booking with Stacey again in the future! PERSONAL RECOMMENDATIONS: 1. Bring bug spray! — most of the properties around Stacey’s use sprinklers so there was no shortage of mosquitoes. 2. Bring some sort of privacy “screen” and camp toilet — since you are near Stacey’s home and there are no facilities to your disposal, bringing a camp toilet and some sort of privacy contraption around your toilet is a must.
