Welcome to Hau'ula Homestead! We are located on O‘ahu, the beautiful Hawaiian Island. Right across the road from Hau'ula Beach park and a short drive from famous North Shore beaches. Flat grass field with some trees and bordered by a stream. We have two RV/tent campsites available. If you are bringing an RV, we can accommodate vehicles up to 45ft in length. No hookups are available at this time, the sites are flat. Campfires are permitted. We are pet-friendly, but please keep your pets on leash. A toilet, potable water, and wifi are all available. Kokololio Beach Park is a 2-minute drive from the site. Hau'ula Loop Trail is only 4 minutes away. Kokololio Beach is a nice stretch of sand and during the summer months, swimming is possible. When coming from the south, turn left toward the mountain immediately before the long Hauula Beach park bridge or when coming from the north turn right immediately toward the mountain just after the long park bridge.

No Aloha
The host was not on site. Communication by phone Never happened. Comminication by text wasn't much better. The "family" the host said would help answer questions about the bathroom an drinking water never made tge effort and in fact avoided any contact with me (the guest). No signage for tent sites. I pitched my tent where I saw others had via pictures on the website. By the time i finished just before sunset it was raining. The "family" evidently called Mike, said nothing to me, and Mike then texted me with instructions as to where I was to pitch my tent..... (under the circus tent) Due to the rain I moved my tent the next morning. Mike/no one ever got back to me about where I was to get drinking water. I hope and pray I do not get sick from using the blue hose next to the house. Positives, 1. Once I was camped under the Circus tent nearer the back of the property I did feel much more secure for sure. 2. The location is close to the Hauula Beach Park where there are 2 outdoor showers. 3. The location is close to many ridge and valley hikes on that side of Oahu. 4. It was affordable 5. It was relatively close to the North Shore Beaches like Sunset Beach and Ted's Bakery. Would I stay here again. Probably not. In fairness, Mikecwas out of town and his assumptions about what family woukd do in his absence clearly dud ot work out. Mahalo Pathfinder

Perfect place to stop for the night. There are a few homeless camps across the way but they did not bother us one bit. Close to road so it can be busy and amenities aren’t the greatest but if you just need a place to safely camp with a bathroom and place to shower, this is a great option. Host is incredibly friendly!

Great Pit Stop!
Second time staying at Mike’s camp site. Mike is very nice and welcoming. Camp site is easy to find. Lots of space and privacy. Clean Showers and toilet. Hot water may be a bit tough to figure out but it’ll be enough to get you rinsed quickly. More homelessness activity at the beach but has no affect on the stay. This camp is a good pit stop, it’s close to the Jurassic park / Kualoa Ranch, I’d definitely stay here again in the future. 🤙🤙
