Beautiful base camp for all the San Luis Valley has to offer! Located near the base of one of Colorado's most beautiful and storied 14'ers, Mt Blanca. Very close to Sand Dunes National Park, the trail head to Blanca peak and cute mountain towns that boast a nice vibe and supplies. Short drive to several hot springs. A nicely cleared path takes you to a fire pit with seating for four provided. Look over the mountains and plan your day out while surrounded by serenity and beauty.

      If you look for a wide space all for you this is it There is desert and the mountains in the back But nothing much around . Very basic . The host is very receptive and accommodating Has good cellular signal

      Great spot!
      Great stay at Peaks Ahead! GPS took us to the exact location with ease. The camp was very private, with beautiful views of Mount Blanca. We enjoyed the fire pit and seating area! Would recommend and stay again!
