Camping along the river
I can’t speak highly enough about Mona’s camping spot.
Great communication whenever we had questions, located right on the river, and plenty of room to spread out.
The land and river are pristine, and you have all the amenities you could ever need. Restroom, shower, dock along the river, kayaks, a fridge, lighting, and so much more.
I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for an amazing getaway.

Flat area for your RV
What a perfect place to stop on our way south for the night! We had a spot in the dirt and other reviews were right - it was powdery soft dirt and got everywhere. The river was full and the patio over it made for a perfect place to eat breakfast. The shower was hot and indoors! Thanks for the stop over - we will be back!

Great layover on your way…
Mona and Dale were great hosts. They were available if we needed them but otherwise we had our privacy. Their property is beautiful with a nice dock on the river. We arrived just in time to have a glass of wine with the sunset looking over the river. There was a full bathroom available to us which was nice and clean and had what we needed. i’m sure that the swing over the river gets good use by kids on a hot day. Electricity is readily available however, some spots did not have dump hook up (as disclosed). There is a rest area with RV dump not far south on 99. If you’re traveling north or south and need a comfortable overnight stop…..I would certainly recommend their place.

Recommended Hipcamp!
Currently (2/24/2024) no water exists in the canal, which is fine as that’s a summer thing. Currently there is construction work being done to improve the site. Important to know: the “Flat area for your RV” is on dirt, so expect dirt to be brought in to your RV, van, whatever you bring. But also know, the hosts (Mona, Dale) are wonderfully welcoming, accommodating, helpful, communicative, and friendly. If you’ve made it this far to book a night, you’ve done yourself a favor. I expect after-construction great things to come, year-round. Have a shower, use the restroom, enjoy the evening calm (strong odor may take awhile to get used to). It’s a Hipcamp!
