Making the 19-mile drive from Challis, Idaho and rallying through the final stretch on the steep dirt road will be worth the effort when you roll up and see the beautiful high mountain lake surrounded by evergreen forests. Pack your fishing pole and enjoy Little Bayhorse Lake, and strap on your boots if you’re dedicated to hiking to hike over to the larger Bayhorse Lake nearby.
