Awesome location near everything in Quinault. Received a fun, short tour of the property from our hosts who are incredibly nice. The campsite was tidy and exactly what we imagined. Plenty of room between us and our neighbors, and we barely knew that they were there. The outhouse is basic but clean and charming. Imagine the friendliness of staying at a distant cousin's organic farm, with the facilities of a top-notch campsite. Only regret was that we were crashing there quickly, and weren't able to stay longer and relax on-site. It is next to the road on Highway 101 but still offers our guests the wilderness experience and semi-privacy with tall trees surrounding the camp. We recommend that our guests use GPS to find Forks, WA, First. Once you find Forks, you will be able to find our camp. Helpful Hints: If you are traveling from the South side of town: We are only about Half a Mile from the Northbound Edge of town on the Right. If you are traveling from the North side: Watch for milepost number 193. This means you are very close. Our camp will be on the left. Our Sites were planned out and spaced to offer our guests plenty of "Elbow Room". Whether your travel plans are for pitching a Tent or parking an RV, we can help you with that. Each site has its own Details and Pricing for Booking your Reservations. We very kindly ask our guests to be patient and adaptable if ever they encounter a booking issue at our camp. Surprisingly it does happen sometimes with the online booking websites. We experienced this problem over our busiest summer season in 2023. We have beautiful woods with trees, ferns, moss, and the Sol Duc River runs adjacent to our property. Beautiful views of the Sol Duc River from some of the sites and a short walk to the right of the parking lot to the Fish Hatchery, stay to the right there will be a boat launch and beach to fish and play. Just a 20-minute drive to the Pacific Ocean and a 20-minute drive to the straits of Juan de Fuca. Just a one-hour drive from our site to Cape Flattery, short hike down to a rocky viewpoint overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Tatoosh Island, which is the farthest NW Point in the Continental US! We have sites with beautiful river views, 9 walk-in sites, and 12 drive-up sites. 4 of the walk-in sites are river views 4, 5, 6 and 8. The drive-in sites with river views are 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 20, and 21. There are more sites on the other part of the Campground, contact us directly. The Fish Hatchery is right next door and has a boat launch, beach, and lots of fishing. The river at the Hatchery is great to float on, fish, and just play. From your mossy bank perched above the panoramic Pacific, beneath burley spruce tree boughs, magic sunsets unfold at your own super-private and secluded campsite with fire-pit. Adjacent to Olympic National Park, this is the same beach and bluff that defines Kalaloch, LaPush and and other wild Washington coastal icons. Homesteaders came here in 1890, prior to that there was no human habitation. A perfect base camp to explore the many varied facets of the West side of the Olympic Peninsula. The campsites are on acreage of a very small off-grid farm. Relax and forget the stress.We offer both tent and RV campsites. Awesome location near everything in Quinault. Received a fun, short tour of the property from our hosts who are incredibly nice. The campsite was tidy and exactly what we imagined. Plenty of room between us and our neighbors, and we barely knew that they were there. The outhouse is basic but clean and charming. Imagine the friendliness of staying at a distant cousin's organic farm, with the facilities of a top-notch campsite. Only regret was that we were crashing there quickly, and weren't able to stay longer and relax on-site. Check out our 2 listings. We offer 7 individual tent sites and 5 RV sites all within the beautiful 5 acres of Alder Groves. Enjoy sparkling meadows of tall grasses and majestic fir trees. The ground is level packed dirt and light gravel for tents. Campsites/RV sites each has its own picnic table and fire ring. We have 2 hot showers, one flush toilet and 2 porta potties. We are located in the great northwest, near Forks WA, 8 miles off Highway 101 on State Highway 110 (La Push Road) 5 miles from La Push. 9 miles from Forks. Forks (made famous by author Stephanie Meyer's setting here, her internationally known vampire love-story series; Twilight.) Forks is a small, yet full-service town with banks, restaurants, post office, outfitters, guide services, hardware, hospital, pharmacy and grocery stores. Just 5 miles from the Native-American Quileute Village of La Push and their amazing beaches: First, Second, Third Beach and also nearby; Rialto Beach. Second Beach is alleged to be in the top 5 most beautiful beaches in the world. Surfing, hiking, kayaking and bird-watching are some of the many activities to enjoy in the area. Keep an eye out for the Elk herd, seen often in the area.

Overview

Stretching along the Pacific Ocean, from the Canada-US border clear down to the mouth of the Columbia River, the Washington Coast offers miles and miles of natural coastline, with sandy beaches, quiet coves, islands, and plenty of evergreen forest. Camp in ancient forests in Olympic National Park, take a whale-watching cruise through the San Juan Islands, or simply take a relaxing break in one of the region's many quiet fishing communities. And while cooler temperatures mean you probably won’t have much luck with your tan, what this region lacks in hot-and-sunny beaches, it more than makes up for with untouched natural beauty.

The Olympic Peninsula

From west of the Puget Sound all the way to the Pacific Ocean, the Olympic Peninsula is among the least developed expanses in the state. Its biggest draw is Olympic National Park, known for the rejuvenating Sol Duc Hot Springs, snow-clad Mount Olympus, and the old-growth groves of the Hoh Rainforest. While outdoor adventure is the area’s star attraction, the Olympic Peninsula also features a handful of cute coastal communities, including Port Angeles and Moclips.

Puget Sound

Between Seattle and the Olympic Peninsula, Puget Sound is an inlet and estuary that offers solid opportunities for urban adventure and quiet repose. The eastern part of the sound is predominantly urban and dominated by the Seattle metro area, while the communities to the west offer a slower pace of life, with farms, state parks, and wineries. Vashon Island, Bainbridge Island, and Whidbey Island are all popular weekend getaways, with easy access to nature and camping.

The San Juan Islands & Northwestern Coast

Sandwiched between the Strait of Georgia and the Strait of San Juan de Fuca off the coast of northwest Washington, the San Juan Islands are known for their coastal forest scenery and outdoor adventure. The islands attract plenty of vacationers for camping, sea kayaking, and whale-watching. If you're short on time and don't want to take a ferry, stay on the mainland at the sprawling Larrabee State Park or the more compact Birch Bay State Park.

Washington’s South Coast

The southern Washington coast is characterized by wooded state parks and compact fishing communities. Popular spots include Leadbetter Point State Park, Willapa National Wildlife Refuge, and the town of Long Beach—though for truly epic ocean views, head to Cape Disappointment State Park, where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean.
