Clinton State Park: A Haven for Outdoor Enthusiasts and Nature Lovers.
Located close to the University of Kansas, Clinton State Park provides some down home outdoor recreational bliss. Enjoy the abundance of scenic beauty in and around the lake. Nature nerds can frolic through hiking and mountain biking trails, anglers can cast their luck at some trout, and anyone up for some friendly competition will love the volleyball! Other activities include swimming, playgrounds, picnics, wildlife viewing, and toasting your beer to the magnificent sunset. At night, curl up with the stars in your tent, or live it up in a fan-dancy cabin rental! Now who said Kansas was flat?
The prime time to visit Clinton State Park is between April 1st and October 31st, when all campsites are reservable and the park is brimming with life. However, be mindful of the water shutoff in late October and prescribed burns in September, which may affect your stay.
