Site One is an RV SITE with a fire pit, water and 20 amp power but is very nice for tent campers too. (The 20 amp power--is good for most air conditioners or gas furnaces.) Site Two is down in the trees on grass with it's own firepit and water. (A camper van or small pickup camper is ok on this site but no power. FREE FIREWOOD FOR BOTH SITES. Havenwood is 5.28 acres surrounded by farm land sitting at the top of a hill 50 miles west of Boise, Idaho. From our property you can view 15+ miles of the Snake River Valley. We are near the Oregon border and are just four miles from Interstate 84 and 3/4's mile from Highway 95. We are just 15 miles from the nearest winery and the beginning of the Snake River Valley wine country. Havenwood has a small forest of approximately 400 poplar trees in a park like setting with a couple acres of grass, fire pits, (with free firewood)--and quiet. Our property is host to many bird species including hawks, owls, quail, rabbits, and with occasional coyotes in the distance. We also host an Airbnb and are booked frequently with great guest reviews (five star rating). Near the freeway it is a wonderful place to take an overnite rest or more!

Even better than pictured! My daughters and I camped with Alan and Susan and had the best weekend. Relaxing, so peaceful, the sound of the birds is indescribable. We definitely hope to make it back again!

Havenwood Tent Site in the Trees
Allen was very friendly and he keeps an amazing space at the tent site. You park in a dirt patch in the trees and the tent site is an immaculately kept patch of grass surrounded by beautiful trees and an amazing view. Allen was very nice to our dogs and accommodating of them as well as us.

Great camping, great hosts!
We loved camping at Alan's! It was a perfect stop for my wife, our dog and I as we passed through the area. The tent camping area is spacious and beautiful on lush grass in a canopy of trees. Alan provides firewood and fresh water, as well as access to a toilet. We caught an amazing sunset from our site. We would definitely stay again next time we're in the area!

Trailer or Tent Site 1 (grass)
We only needed to stay one night, but given other circumstances, my husband and I would happily stay at Alan’s place longer. It is peaceful and serene among the poplar trees. Alan and his wife were very accommodating and gracious. We enjoyed sharing stories with them while watching the sunset. A very special place!

We Will be Back!
No joke, this was one of the best hipcamps we have stayed at! Alan was so kind, showed us around, and invited us to watch the sunset on his porch. He was also very understanding about privacy as well. The bathroom was clean, and even though all his Hipcamp sites were full, we still felt like we had our own space and privacy. Our dogs got to play in the canal, too! The sunset and sunrise were stunning! We will definitely be coming back to this site!
