A dream
Such a peaceful mini outdoors trip. The hot tub and cold plunge was a great addition. The tent was wonderful and had a heater but was not well insulated for the cold weather. However, it’s perfect for spring/summer. The weather was just very unpredictable/unexpected for May. Once it got colder and started snowing, Ellie checked in on us and asked how we were doing. We ended up moving to the A frame which was even better. The A frame was very well insulated. We just had to turn the fireplace and continue to keep feeding it wood to keep the place warm. They had a portable stove inside as well with a fridge so we were able to cook more easily. Ellie was attentive and always quick to answer any questions we had. Wifi is available as well so we were able to watch movies and rest comfortably. It was a dream! We’ll be coming back.

Glamping with a hot tub!
The large king tent was lovely - comfortable, with wonderful amenities like robes, towels and slides. The bed was very comfortable. The outdoor table was small but sufficient for us. Probably not large enough to set up a camp stove and eat. The hot tub was AMAZING and even the composting toilet was well designed and appointed. It is a perfect place to return to after a day of exploring. For those who are seeking The Great Outdoors - just note that you are essentially camping in someone’s backyard. It probably isn’t a location that you go to and never leave.

Cedar
This was our first hipcamp ever and we had a great stay. Initially we were concerned because the weather forecast said it would be 85 degrees in Nevada City during the day but their property is cooler and the tent stays even cooler somehow, so we slept extremely well. The property is extremely quiet and peaceful with excellent stargazing. We enjoyed the cedar hot tub and cold plunge as well.

We enjoyed everything that Ellie's hipglamp had to offer. Our dog loved hanging out on the deck with us. There was plenty of space for me, my husband, our son and dog. The composting toilet was very clean and the house option great too. Ellie put out a dishwashing pan with soap and a sponge set up by the spout off the house after we had inquired. She and her husband offered great ideas on where to find beautiful scenery and off-road driving. They were responsive and welcoming, and gave us complete privacy. There's a solar powered battery for charging your things and a couple lamps. The yurt stays warm inside and comes with plenty of blankets. The cedar soak and cold plunge were clean and refreshing.

Best birthday ever
OMG!!! This place is fairytale. My husband and I came up for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. It was a dream come true. We felt so blessed and rested. We definitely took advantage of the cedar tub. It was a once in a lifetime experience soaking under the stars.
Highly recommend you will leave this place a different person. Thank you fam for the perfect space to unwind and chill out.
