RV camping near Georgetown guide

Overview

On the cusp of Texas Hill Country and just a half-hour drive north of Austin, day-trippers swing through Georgetown to visit "Texas' most beautiful town square" and dive into the burgeoning foodie scene. If you’re bringing your RV, there are plenty of good reasons to stick around, whether hiking along the San Gabriel River Trail, marveling at stalactites in the Inner Space Cavern, or cooling off from the summer heat at the Blue Hole lagoon. Several RV parks and resorts, many with full hookups and space for big rigs, can be found within a short drive of downtown, while Lake Georgetown has three waterfront campgrounds with boat ramps and fishing docks―Jim Hogg Park, Cedar Breaks Park, and Russell Park. A little further afield, there’s more lakeside camping at Lake Travis and Pace Bend Park, while Pedernales Falls State Park has waterfalls, wineries, and some of the region’s best bird-watching.
