BeaverCreek Artfarm/ Heart Barn

30 sites · RVs, Tents21 acres · Seal Rock, OR
This beautiful piece of paradise has been in my family for over 100 years. I am very blessed to live here and proudly care for it now, and plan to keep it in our family forever. Renting out the land and barn areas for camping, and also for private events, are a couple ways i can share it with, and build even more awesome community. 💚 Please Follow @heartbarn on Instagram to see videos and updated photos of the greenery, camping, events, the barn rooms/spaces and upgrades done here. 😁 Come camp, reset and recharge on the beautiful central Oregon coast. Nestled in the lush Beavercreek valley, we are just outside the fog zone in our own sweet little weather bubble. We have a variety of wetland wildlife here including a visiting elk herd, a large and beautiful variety of birds and various small critters.. Early summer dawn bird song is just amazing! 🎶 It’s lush and green and feels like the earth is hugging you when you’re camping in the carefully carved in marsh-field nooks. There are various camp “sites” to choose from, in the big field or the smaller meadow, with shade and/or sunshine & you choose which spot you’d like to stay in once you arrive. Feel free to check out all of the Barn and other communal spaces like: the beautiful dome for chillin in, stargazing bed in the tall field grass, the “Wookie Nook”- secret relaxing nurselog tree in the far right of the field, lounge chairs under the Cedar in the meadow, forest walk, the Legacy Lounge-art, antique and family memorabilia room-through the mural painted door…make yourself at home 💝 It is generally quiet and peaceful out here and a super sweet rustic getaway. Weekends of course are more lively, but still plenty room to spread out and have your own peaceful space. You can have solitude out at your camp, or come to the communal barn areas for a more social time. Inside the Barn has a more “hostel” feel with couches and lounge areas, dining room area tables and chairs, dance floor with Labyrinth to walk, stage, hula hoops, fun props, art and antiques to enjoy! The Black light art and ping pong room is not to miss!! There’s a Full kitchen (minus an oven) in the corner of the barn with all you need to cook, serve and eat. (Charcoal)Bbq shed outside the barn next to the communal fire pit. Just past those is the cedar shingled shower house with a wood fired sauna too. (I generally have firewood for sale here.) There’s 4 Porta potties on-site, but also, please feel free to pee outside. 😁 On the way to the HeArt Barn, just off of hwy 101 is Ona Beach state park. There you can kayak, canoe, paddleboard -or some even swim- on the east side of the hwy. The beach and beautiful state park is on the west side with Beaver creek flowing through it and a lovely bridge over it. We are just 5 minute drive form there. There are a couple hikes along the way, and also for jogging or biking.. I believe in living as simply and peacefully as possible, in harmony with all neighbors of all species; -plants, animals and humans- in order to do my part to sustain healthy life on this planet. I know that I am blessed for having been raised here and since I’ve come home, I live in gratitude for this blessing every day; and am so thankful to be able to share some of it with you. I hope this lush green valley hugs and fills your heart like it does mine.💚 HeArt Barn- Earth/Art/Heart✨Always return to the heart ♥️ Welcome!

Mosswood Forest

22 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents5 acres · Veneta, OR
Just down the road from the historic Oregon Country Fair grounds, there is a moss covered forest with friendly folks welcoming you to stop off and rest. Nights are quiet with faint to no road noise or light pollution. The driveway and grounds are flat with safe gated parking space for cars/vans and small-med sized trailers, tents etc. It is our pleasure to offer you a safe space to camp with your friends and family. Learn more about this land: Mosswood is on 5 acres of mostly forested land, there's usually a project going (or three). We've recently finished building a barn workshop, a covered timber frame deck in the meadow, and a very unique woven tree net that you'll be sure to enjoy! No dogs living here, just one friendly cat, otherwise it's squirrels, birds, and the occasional wild turkey procession or coyote. There is a large garden, and when growing season is on, we may send you packing with some fresh greens or veggies! If you see us out and about, feel free to come say hello or ask questions. We love sharing good conversations and ideas about how to live well and stay excited about all things. Towns/Activities nearby: Veneta/Elmira are charming small rural towns with all the basics less than 10 min drive: Grocery Outlet, Bi-mart, Ace hardware, Auto parts, some decent restaurants. Fern Ridge Lake is 10 minutes down the road for walking trails, boating and paddling, plenty of other outdoor activities nearby. Eugene is 25 min, and the beautiful Oregon coast is 45 min drive if you want to smell the ocean air and visit Florence.

Truffle Tryst Farm

2 sites · RVs, Tents32 acres · Toledo, OR
Welcome to your campsite nestled in a mostly wooded property, situated between timber lands and the Siuslaw National Forest. We offer a few open field areas suitable for camping, providing support for vehicles when dry, as well as areas nestled between Douglas Fir trees. Our modern double restroom features flush toilets, potable water, a hot shower for your comfort and is ADA compliant. Towels and washcloths are available. Please note that while this is a working farm with minimal resources, we strive to offer an authentic and enjoyable camping experience. Due to winter weather events, particularly an ice storm, our property has debris from downed trees and limbs. While the main field remains as pristine as a forest field can, other areas of the property will have visible debris that you may need to navigate when wandering around.. Explore our small aquaponics system, which has been running for over ten years and which now houses sunfish, koi, and bass. We have a number of seed starts maturing in the aqua house as well. We have occasional visits from elk, deer, bobcats, coyotes, bears, and mountain lions. Our year-round stream hosts salmon spawning annually, and nearby, you'll find a large swimming hole for relaxation. Adjacent to our property, the legacy Glenwood Cemetery adds to the serene atmosphere. Enjoy stunning sunrise or sunset views from Table Mountain just a couple of miles away. Please be aware that our property borders a timber company, so access to certain areas may vary, especially during active logging hours, although currently (5/24) it is very quiet. Ayers Lake, located a bit past the Table Mountain turnoff, is a secluded spot for trout fishing. For outdoor enthusiasts, the new C2C trail (Corvallis to Coast) crosses our road just over two miles above us, offering opportunities for short hikes or bike rides. While we offer lots of peace and quiet, please plan accordingly as we are fairly distant from many of the closest populated areas. Note that a portion of your journey to our property may lack cell coverage, but we provide a reliable satellite connection for your communication needs once you arrive.

Lighthouse Lookout at Heceta Beach

1 site · Lodging1 acre · Florence, OR
Lighthouse Lookout is a is a 1300 square foot home with breathtaking views and quick access to the beach, just across the street. It was built in 2000, but the design was inspired by the Heceta Lighthouse Keeper's House. While not a 150 year old coastal cabin, there is a theme of 'warmth and comfort' from the storm. Those old buildings were-are cold and drafty - we've not had problems keeping salt shaker from caking, or candles flickering! - even when the rain is blowing hard against the house. It is a fantastic spot for watching winter storms. On the first level of the house which is up all of those stairs you see in the photo, you'll find the main living area. Which includes the galley kitchen, dining room & living room all with fantastic views. There is also a bathroom, laundry room and queen bedroom on this floor and quick access to the back deck to enjoy the morning sun or the immense front porch for watching, whales, pelicans, bald eagles and many other birds. Up the stairs takes you to the second floor where you'll find an open loft with a twin bed, desk and TV. In addition there are 2 more queen bedrooms and another bathroom. You even have a view of the lighthouse and the sea lion caves from the north bedroom.

A nearby covered gravel patio with pergola and transparent canopy is slightly more formal outdoor dining venue with a garden/woodside presence. Even the front entry has a sunny deck with adjoining gravel sunspot patio for informal breaks or socializing among plantings and native vegetation. For the slightly adventurous, a one-time sand knoll, now forested, lies beyond a pergola to the "wild side" of the property. Large trees crown the top, where the beam from Heceta Head lighthouse can sweep eerily past on misty nights. Bring a collapsible chair (hanging just inside the side door to the garage) to sit and read a book and feel like you're in the wilderness (you are!). While wandering about the property, be entertained by the unexpected? can you find the gnomes? Now, what's with the name? Captain Cook (1728-1779) never landed in Oregon on his (- voyage in his 78 foot ship, the Resolution, in 1778)- he hardly saw it- and what he described as "snow" was most likely the sand dunes! He was the foremost navigator-explorer of his time. A good summary of his life and voyages is found in Wikipedia. More about his Oregon visit at the Captain Cook Society and at the Oregon Encyclopedia site. But wait, there's more- Joode, one of the owners, is a Brit, born near London, but spent her childhood summers in North Yorkshire- the birthplace of Captain Cook, and a monument to his memory caps Rosemary Topping, visible for miles around. And then- another connection- a best friend's great grandmother was the midwife who assisted in his delivery. It's a small world after all. Homeowner Rich purchased a home on this site in 2002, living here full time until 2006, when he and Joode, having married in 2005, returned to her home in the UK. Rich retired in 2013 following careers in education, forestry and national parks, tours/travel in the USA, and retail garden centers in the USA and UK. Joode is retired from a nursing career with the UK National Health Service in Oxford and the nearby Cotswolds Area of Natural Beauty."We are both enthusiastic gardeners and enjoy the outdoors, birds, beaches, and travel- in fact we met on an adventure tour in South America and were married by the stream at Heceta Beach- just a few minutes' walk from the Captain Cook. ""When at home here in Florence, we listen to the waves and the wind in the trees, and watch the many kinds of birds that visit each day. When we "walk the beach" we may also find sand dollars or other beach treasures, or encounter bald eagles, osprey, seals, or hundreds of sanderlings busily feeding at the surf's edge. It's such a delight to know that the woods and beach stretch for miles beyond." Anchor's A-Way walk to beach.

1 site · Lodging1 acre · Florence, OR
This house is for the young, or young at heart as it has a ladder-stairway to the loft, where you'll find the queen bed. It's super close to the beach, but in a marvelous wind protected location so you can enjoy the deck in the morning, afternoon and evening. It has as much outdoor living space as there is inside. There is a picnic table for outside dining as well. You'll find 2 rattan swivel rockers, and a 40 inch TV on a rolling cart. It has streaming internet TV with Sling. The built in twin beds are perfect for children, or taking a quick nap in the afternoon, while curled up with a book. I have a thing for A-frames, they've been disappearing, right and left in Florence and on the West Coast in general, as people rip them down and toss up more practical housing. I blogged about this A-frame and Helmsman's Hide-A-Way in January & March of 2013, little did I know I'd wind up with both of them in June 2013 as vacation rentals. While these 2 represent opposite ends of the spectrum, they're both fantastic pieces of history, if you enjoy rustic, funky, and fun historic houses you'll love them, as much as I do. If you're really into A-frames and oddities, ask me and I'll provide you with a self guided tour list, to see in the neighborhood. Since we took on this house the owners have passed on this house to their daughter. I loved hearing the family stories, telling me about swinging out of the loft (before we put in the new loft rail - it's amazing any of us survived ;-) Since we took it on 7 years ago, we have replaced all the windows, siding and re-built the deck rail benches, plus replace the refrigerator and range. In the winter of 2023 we plan to replace the flooring on the main floor. Enjoy Burgers & Brew "where the locals hang out" at Jerry's Place within walking distance or Anchors A-Way is a short drive from the Historic Old Town Florence gift shops, the Antique District, art galleries, wine bars, coffee bistros, and fabulous seafood restaurants. Explore some of the best fishing on one of 17 local lakes, or play on some of the finest sand dunes, and state parks that Oregon has to offer.
