Owl Creek Cabin is in the Cascade Mountains above Ashland, Oregon. The cabin is in a Douglas Fir grove, next to a seasonal creek, on five forested acres, and adjacent to BLM lands that are open for hiking. It features a firepit with Adirondack chairs and an outdoor clawfoot tub for a private soak.
You’ll be greeted when you arrive and briefly introduced to some of the cabin's unique features, including attic stairs to the windowed sleeping loft. Downstairs is a sofa and sofabed. The coffee cart kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, toaster oven, and microwave. An outdoor gas grill with skillet and saucepan and picnic table allow for outdoor dining. Dishes, linens, and bedding are provided. WiFi speed is suitable for basic use. Mobile phones connect through WiFi. The cabin is non-smoking. Children 8 and up are welcome.
Recreational areas with miles of trails including the Pacific Crest Trail, are nearby plus lakes that offer fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and hiking trails.
A 20-minute drive will take you to Lake of the Woods where you can dine, hike, and kayak. Crater Lake National Park is 50 miles away.

Their ranch, Heartline Ranch & Tipi Village is on Crater Lake Highway (Hwy 62) just 26 miles down from Crater Lake. They have designated 15 acres for a primitive Campgrounds and Tipi village sites. September of 2020 we were sadly effected by the Wildfire- TwoFourTwo which took 5 of our 6 tipis. We have been able to clean up, regrow and make ready for camping guests. We once again have 6 tipis, all beautiful, and in addition, 6 new camping sites for people with their own tents. Sorry, NO rv's (vans are allowed.) Its wonderful to see all the beautiful regrowth, and to see that most of our trees have regenerated. It is now once again a beautiful place to be.
It is their love for this land and a desire to share the beauty and Native experience with others to led them to open up these campgrounds. There is 15 acres in the immediate campgrounds & 6 tipi sites and 6 camping sites for folks with their own tents, so LOTS of privacy. Our ranch has 250 acres of land, great hiking trails that you will have access to for hiking, next to the Winema National Forest, and connected to the Pacific Crest Trail.
You will have space to enjoy this beauty. The owner's horses are rescue horses and are their own private property. Please do NOT feed them or go up to them without the owners being there. Horses have delicate stomachs. Our gentle giants are mellow but very big so please stay OUT of their pasture. You may help us during their feeding time, if you ask owners.

Cedar Springs Village is ever improving and expanding as a gathering place and Natural Movement training facility/playground. Tended by host and MovNat Lvl2 certified fitness trainer. There are also family activities such as a toddler friendly bike pump track, small sandbox, tire swing, well used trails and roads to hike or mountain bike around the property. There is a growing communal outdoor kitchen with a standard four burner stovetop and oven.
Immerse yourself in the wild beauty of the mountains. Pitch a tent in one of the numerous locations on this secluded and diverse 120 acres. Here you will be amongst a thick forest of cedar, pine and fir; oak groves, rolling hills, babbling creeks, spring-fed ponds, meadows and spectacular views of majestic Mt. Shasta. If you are a plant enthusiast, bird-watcher or nature lover, or even a rockhound, this area will be a dream come true. The terrain is hilly but old logging roads provide nice hiking paths along with hundreds of animal paths for the able bodied. Near the owners cabin and main camp area there is an outdoor kitchen, tapped spring to collect water, fire pit and a compost outhouse. It is important to note that there is no poison oak or poison ivy around the area. It is a wonderful place to really explore.
Just 15.4 miles east of Ashland on highway 66 then 9 miles on a slow dirt road. The drive is absolutely part of the experience, slow down and enjoy the views. As you drive up hwy 66 the views of the valley below are absolutely incredible, then you come to the dirt road. This is a very slow drive due to the condition of the road, it is part of the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument and poorly maintained.
**Important** The last section of road to get to this pristine and secluded forest location is a 9 mile dirt road with bumps, rocks, and a many washouts that bring you to a near stand still. 4 wheel drive is strongly recommended. Low clearance cars not recommended.

We originally purchased the 20 acres of untouched land and built our cabin, the "Snug Shack," as a getaway from the city. Fast forward a few years, and 40 acres next door with an abandoned house on the canyon ridge went up for sale. We decided to purchase it and start a homestead there. That 40 acres where we now live was badly abused, and we have been in the process of cleaning up and restoring it. Fortunate for you, the land surrounding the Snug Shack was never abused and is still pristine and beautiful. This 200 acre property is located within the Cascade Siskiyou National Monument, a land bridge where two mountain ranges meet, creating immense biodiversity and natural beauty. Soda Spring is a bourgeoning community tended land located on the ceded territories of the Shasta, Takilma, Latgawa and Klamath peoples, just 10 minutes from the south end of Ashland, Oregon. The property is primarily oak savannah and pastureland, with adjacent fir/pine and madrone/manzanita forests and hillsides. The land sits in a valley where both Soda Creek and Carter Creek enter in to Emigrant Creek as it flows onward to Emigrant Lake, just a mile away. The land is being stewarded by a small group of humans and large community of wildlife and insects. Together we are slowly creating something special... including community event and classroom spaces, gardens, orchards, holistically managed ranch lands, campgrounds and wild places.
Currently there is one vintage trailer available. By next spring there will be additional camping sites and RV sites also available.

Situated just 9 miles from downtown Ashland, an easy and scenic 20 minute drive gets you to everything the town has to offer including the renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Lithia Park, mountain bike and hiking trails, great restaurants, art galleries, and live music. Several wineries are also within a 10 minute drive. We are just adjacent to Emigrant Lake for kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, and fishing. Heading farther east, Hwy 66 climbs up into the Greensprings area with more opportunities to explore hiking trails and mountain lakes. Crater Lake National Park is 60 miles away, and makes a great day trip.

40 Acres surrounded by nature with a 1700 acre wildlife preserve to the West and BLM to the North and East. We have two ponds plus wetlands that are home to native turtles. You can visit them during the day if you are quiet. We are very secluded with no electricity and only one good area for cell. This allows people to spend more time with nature than with their phones. There is an unexplored cliff with fresh mountain springs to the East and a beautiful Glen on the Western side of the property. It is common to hear a grouse stomping or a woodpecker going about their day. The Cinnamon bears visit sometimes but does not approach people and will run off at the first sound of humans. This is an animal sanctuary. The bears also have their own trail on the property, ask one of the hosts to show you their park area. If you are lucky, you will get to hear the pacific tree frogs sing at night. If you come in the winter the snow shoeing possibilities are epic. In the summer the views are incredible.
