Exclusive river sites for tenting and traditional full hook- ups with water and sewer. The tidal water of the N. Nemah River allow for kyacking to Willapa Bay or just in River at high tide. Searun cutthroat fishing in summer and King Salmon starting August 1st. Located 25 minutes from Long Beach or Astoria there are fun places for day trips. The tiny town of Nemah has zero commerce only a few scattered farms and homes. Eagles and Elk grace the sky and the property for added visual fun. Georgous restrooms paneled in cedar with showers are available. I accept RV's of all sizes Laundry is free. Central campfire on the river available. individual campfires allowed when fire bans are lifted in select sites for safety and fire prevention.

Puget Island's Robert W. There's also hiking, swimming in the Columbia on our beach, fishing, wild life viewing that entails many bird species (hawks, eagles, white tail deer). Long Beach on the Pacific ocean is 1 hour away. During your stay, you'll even see ships cruise by very closely. The property has easily accessible no matter the size of your RV and there's plenty of room to park multiple vehicles. Most of the campsites are about a half mile up the hill from our main entrance. So a total of about a mile to the beach. Each of our campsites are very rugged: not super flat and have jagged rock. The roads getting to each campsite are STEEP, NARROW, and have very FEW TURNAROUND OPTIONS. We recommend ONLY EXPERT drivers with 4x4 rigs. Lastly; there are no bathrooms! Please make sure you bring your own bathroom!

Sites are secluded and firewood, ice and fresh eggs are for sale on site; shared portable toilets for camp guests and potable water is available at the homestead for filling your containers. The North Fork Nehalem river is home to some of the best salmon and steelhead fishing around. It is still a wild place and not uncommon to see deer, elk, beaver, bald eagles, coyotes and a very rare bear sighting. You will be a 20 minute drive away from the coast in Manzanita for beach beach combing, farmers market, unique shops, epic hikes and local cuisine. Just past Manzanita, another 10-20 mins further, are Cannon Beach and Seaside. Check-in is from 2-7pm. If you need accommodations outside of that time frame please give us at least 24 hour notice. Popular with day-tripping Portlanders, the coastal community of Cannon Beach offers a delightful mix of boutiques, art galleries, and seafood restaurants, along with easy access to a wide, sandy expanse of Pacific Ocean shoreline. It’s also the site of one of Oregon’s most iconic natural features, Haystack Rock, a basalt sea stack that provides a refuge for seabirds and tufted puffins. While many overnight visitors stay in the town’s many cozy inns, state parks dot the area offering tent and RV camping, either in the forest or right by the beach.

When to go

Cannon Beach attracts visitors year-round, though summers are by far the busiest time to visit. If temperatures are high in the Portland area, you’re pretty much guaranteed to encounter crowds, even on weekdays. September weekdays after local schools are back in session offer an ideal mix of relatively pleasant temperatures without big crowds. If you don't mind cooler temperatures, come in the first weekend of November for the annual Stormy Weather Arts Festival’s live music and art demonstrations.

Oregon's North Coast

Cannon Beach is set in the heart of Oregon's North Coast, making it a great base for exploring nearby communities such as Astoria, Seaside, and Manzanita. The region is also home to tons of great hiking spots, and Ecola State Park is just a few minutes’ drive from Cannon Beach's town center.

The Columbia River

Marking the border between western Oregon and Washington, the Columbia is the largest river in the Pacific Northwest with miles of boating, fishing, and riverside hiking, plus tons of fabulous viewpoints. Head up to nearby Astoria to see the point where this massive river meets the Pacific.

The Tillamook State Forest

Occupying a wide expanse of woodlands, just inland from and south of Cannon Beach, the Tillamook State Forest is spread out over 360,000 acres of forest land, with miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.
