Children of all ages can enjoy the thrill of a very tall swing on the property located right at the walking bridge that crosses Neal Creek. There are 2 full restrooms each with a shower, 1 built inside a 20-foot shipping container the other right beside it. Under the restroom container is another buried container that is literally the coolest area to cool off in. The temperature is 50'F year round. Exploring the farm is a delightful experience, guests are welcome to let their dogs roam freely. No plastic bags allowed. It is a farm and it is what animals do , there are shovels scattered around the farm so if you see something you personally do not like, grab a shovel, dig a hole & bury it, adding nutrients to the soil, the trees will be very happy to watch you and so would Mother Nature. Crater Lake Resort

Our property has been in business in one way or another for over 70 years. The stick built cabins are pre 1950's and no one really knows for sure how old they truly are. We are located on Fort Creek named after the creek that ran through Fort Klamath. Fort Creek is a beautiful 30' wide meandering creek that runs the length of the property north to south. We offer free use of our Old Town Canoes to paddle along it's extent and on up creek to a beaver damn. There is a fun hiking trail that runs over two bridges that span the creek, one covered and one floating. We also offer free catch and release fishing, there are Rainbow and Brown Trout in our waters. Fort Klamath is the birthplace and home of the US Army 1st Cavalry and our property is located on the the Forts Southeastern grounds. We are 9 miles from the southern border of the National Park and 23 miles from the southern Rim and Rim Village.

Experience Heaven

Pets allowed, toilets on site, campfires permitted when burn ban is not in place. This being the 4th year, things have gotten a little out of hand. So let's regergitate some things and make sure everyone understands how it is. If you aren't capable of practicing the 5 P's, then you need to book somewhere else. Proper Preperation Prevents Poor Performance. If you can't get here and have your camp set up by 8:00PM, showing respect to the other Hipcampers that are already set up and enjoying the PEACE AND QUIET, then you need to book somewhere else or don't come until the following morning. No driving down to the campsites/the lake after 8::00PM. Period. Communicate with me. If you leave Portland at 5:00 PM with the intention of spending the night in Heaven then you need to alter your plans. No more than 4 adults at each campsite. I am almost to the point of saying no BIG DOGS. If you got big dogs, my suggestion is you go book someplace else. Talk to me. It is a given they willl need to be on a tethered throughout your time in Heaven. Take them for walks along the lake, not having them run thru everyone elses camp sites. No Yappers, no barking dogs, no yippers, no pain in the butts. Why would you drive by 46 grocery stores and forget to bring ice? No music. I have changed quiet time to 9:00 PM. You need to listen to music I suggest you start a band or become a DJ. What I want folks to get out of being here, whether they are camping or staying in the Gers is just to “take a break”. Relax, appreciate, assess and just listen. I hope what you hear is the sound of life and of course all the Angels that make up this special piece of Heaven. The chipmunks, the squirrels, all the different birds, the eagles, the osprey, the fish jumping, the deer roaming, the timber martins running thru the trees, the snowshoe rabbits and the occasional black bear. Then there is the silence. The best part of “Heaven”. So, while you are here, take a deep breath, close your eyes at the appropriate moment and ask yourself, am I on the right path? Is what I am doing fulfilling me? Am I showing my family and friends how much I love them? Do I really need all that crap I got? Where do I go from here? My intention was for each one you to not just go camping, or to stay in a Mongolian Ger but to have an “Experience” that just might lead you to a more fulfilling and happier life.

We met through a van life community, and fell in love on the road, camping at different national parks and Hipcamp sites from Jeremy's RAV4 (our first month dating was spent traveling up and down the west coast). We are now the proud new owners of Camp Cedar Creek, an incredible 37-acre property that was built from the hands of the owner before us over the last 40 years. We're so honored to carry on his vision of this magical place, and share it with as many people exploring the Pacific Northwest as we can. We hope your stay here will bring you a deep sense of peace, inspire creativity, give you whatever it is you're in need of at this moment in time. Take a stroll down Cedar Creek, sit and read by one of the seven ponds, get your heart pumping on the hilly trails on the north side of the property, pick as many blackberries as you can find if in season. We can't wait to host you! Learn more about this land: Located right off Hwy 26, directly in between the city of Portland and the peak of Mt. Hood, you'll find the most peaceful corner of the Pacific Northwest for you to pitch your tent or park your van. We are conveniently located just 7 minutes from downtown Sandy, known for its food trucks, outdoor gear shops, and the famous Joe's Donuts. Though we are right off a busy highway, all you'll hear are the tranquil sounds of Cedar Creek's flowing waters and the chirping birds who live in the cedars overhead. The small clearings throughout the property provide natural privacy for our campers, and the 37 acres sprinkled with trails and ponds offer exploration and a sense of wonder we hope you'll enjoy. Please note: we have a vanlife community that utilizes the barn up on the hill (check out kift.com if you're a nomad or vanlifer looking for an awesome community on the road) and we also live up on the hill in the house next to the barn. NON-NEGOTIABLE RULES: PACK OUT WHAT YOU PACK IN, aka leave no trace - our most important campsite policy. We have no garbage cans or trash services. The trash you create will be your responsibility to take with you when you leave. And please don't place it at our neighbors house (yes, this has happened). If you leave your trash for us to clean up, we will charge a $100 cleaning fee. 4WD REQUIRED. Due to the traffic we've experienced recently, the steep gravel roads can be tough for some cars and rigs (particularly on the way out) so for everyone's safety, we are restricting access to only vehicles equipped to handle the terrain. We're sorry for the inconvenience. If you've been here before and know you can get by with your car, feel free to book again, but please do not message us asking us to advise on the vehicle you have. If we have to dig you out, we will charge a $200 fee. DOG FRIENDLY. We are as dog friendly as it gets here. Unleashed dogs are allowed on this property. If you have a fear of dogs, or have dogs that are not friendly with other people or fellow dogs, this probably isn't the right campsite for you. Of course, we expect all dog owners to keep an eye on their pets so they don't disturb other campers. NO FIREARMS, FIREWORKS OR ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE USE. This is not a late night party campsite. This property is best in the daylight and we encourage campers who want to take full advantage and will abide by the quiet hours. QUIET HOURS: 11pm-8am. While our individual sites are quite private we ask that you still keep the noise to a minimum between 11pm and 8am. We live onsite and will enforce these if we have to (please don't make us). OTHER INFO: CELL SERVICE. There is an AT&T tower on our property so that gets the best service by far. Verizon is pretty good. T-mobile does not get reception here. BATHROOMS. We have one porta-potty onsite during the summer season (late May through September). It's serviced every week.

Crater Lake Private Woodlands

Private and protected forest woodlands, trails, wildlife, ponds, wildflowers, old growth timber and views. Unspoiled nature at its best! We are located in southern Oregon near Crater Lake NP, just off of hwy 62, part of the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway, more commonly known as the "highway of waterfalls" and near the little town of Prospect on what is known as the beautiful side of Crater Lake NP. Three waterfalls, a pizza parlor, the Prospect Cafe, and the Historic Hotel are all within a two-mile radius. If you're after that famous pie at Beckie's Cafe, you are 10 minutes close. Our 100 acre ranch allows us to host guests in their own RV's, at camp/tent sites, or in our new A-frame Cabin all located in private, and even secluded, sites. Several well maintained trails wind throughout the property and can be enjoyed by guests. Nature enthusiasts enjoy the hiking, wildlife viewing, and the beautiful ponds and woods. Crater Lake Woodlands is part of the historic Katydid Ranch. Once owned by Boise Cascade who used it both for growing seedlings to replant logged mountain sides and as a vacation getaway for their executives, the story of Katydid Ranch goes back to the early 1900's when it's owner named "Katy" used it as the "half-way" overnight lodging for horse & buggy guests traveling to Crater Lake from the Rogue Valley. Leaving the valley at the crack of dawn, they could arrive at "Katy's" by nightfall, in time for a meal and sound mountain sleep. They'd hitch up at dawn and make it to Crater Lake by nightfall. Historically, the first residents were the Rogue River Takelma and Latgawa native Americans. Latgawa lived in the Rogue Valley of interior southwest Oregon. In their own language "Latgawa" means "those living in the “uplands," though they were also known as the Walumskni by the neighboring Klamath tribes. Specifically, Ha-ne-sakh. The Latgawa were one of two peoples who spoke the Takelma language. They were hunters, gatherers, weavers and fished the Rogue River. They were known to have a stationary settlement and trading post at the Katydid Ranch location. Their tribes lived in the upper Rogue River area extending beyond Prospect and Union up to Crater Lake. Since we've owned the Ranch, we've maintained the custom of welcoming overnight guests and at the same time, we continue to honor the protected wildlife designation given to it back in the 50's. Wildlife viewing is one the delights we share with our guests. Please be mindful of native wildlife keeping dogs on leash so as to avoid chasing and barking at wildlife. Thank you. The animals here include, but are not limited to black tail deer, elk, fox, coyote, ringtailed cat, raccoon, skunk, and also typically farther up the mountain are the elusive mountain lions and black bear which we have never spotted on our property. The ponds and surrounding area are home to migratory to the Oregon Pond turtle, Canada geese, quail, wild turkeys, various owls including the great horned owls, hawks, cranes and eagles. Our pond bird watcher friends spotted Common Mergansers, Ring Necked Ducks, Canada Geese…and a Loon. The bull frogs orchestrate the evening and can be heard at times throughout the day. Katydid Ranch is a wildlife sanctuary. The flora and fauna of the forest is abundant and diverse. This land is home to many native grasses, ferns, and berries, wild flowers, as well as many other edible and medicinal plants and numerous varieties of mushrooms. If you are visiting during blackberry season, feel free to pick, pick, pick and indulge. Katydid trees include old growth Douglas Fir, Ponderosa, Sugar, and Jeffrey Pine, various Cedar tree varieties, Incense Cedar, the majestic Pacific Madrone, Alder, Big Leaf Maple, Black and White Oak, Dog wood, and Vine Maple. Sunset Bay Meadows

Welcome to Sunset Bay Meadows! We have several tent/RV sites, a yurt, and one group camping site. Once a dairy farm and part of the old Simpson estate our property offers mushroom picking seasonally whey you may find Chanterelle & Hedgehog mushrooms. We're close to the beach and the Sunset Bay Golf Course is on the same property. Lots of hiking trails and you can connect with Sunset Bay State Park our neighbor. We have a private, secluded campground that is wind sheltered with approximately 20 acres of space in which to use our covered table, picnic tables, fire pit, fire rings at individual campsites, BBQ, sauna and outdoor propane-fired shower. The camp area is tucked away among large spruce trees and open meadows which lead to endless trails on the property, with the option to buy a round of golf at Sunset Bay Golf Course, which is right next door to the camp area. We’re just short of a mile from Sunset Bay, where you will find kayaking, fishing and a great spot for kids. The Whiskey Run mountain bike trails are a short drive away and are truly world-class trails. The Sunset Bay State Park has a huge trail network that spans the cliff line all the way from Sunset Bay to Cape Arago. Chuck’s Seafood in Charleston is a great spot to pick up local seafood. BBQ some oysters on the grill or pick up some fresh fish and enjoy the bounty of the coast. Charleston, just 3.5 miles away, also has some great restaurants and local shops to truly make your stay memorable. Only friendly dogs allowed and leashed or under voice command.

Our camp is right off the Columbia River Gorge Scenic Highway just minutes away from Portland Women's Forum and Crown Point, the Jewel of the Columbia. Our facilities include an outdoor shower, a solar-powered composting toilet, fresh water, and plenty of flat ground surrounded by trees for excellent camping! Please read this whole message so that you are not surprised when you get here! Our home and farm is on two acres. Your tent site, are all in our ample acreage. Although pets are welcome, we expect them to be well-behaved around our two cats, our own big sweetie of a pup, Frejya, our two crazy goats Cupcake and Muffin, and our free-ranging chickens. Expect to hear some animal noises here on the farm. Our property literally borders the scenic highway. Because we are so close, you can hear the sunset-view-seeking drivers, motorcycle riders, and yes, racers who come out this way for a spin on one of the most scenic highways in the world. Whether you are camping alone or with a group of 20, you get the whole camp to yourself. No strangers camping nearby or walking by you to get to their sites. Complete privacy! With a picnic table, firepit, and a very clean "deluxe" portable bathroom (water sink and LED light) on site, your basic camping needs are met. Trash and recycling bins are also present so there is no need to haul away your own trash. Need firewood, fishing gear, or groceries? The Brightwood Store is a short walk away along the riverfront, and has great prices and very friendly service. Skiing/snowboarding, hiking/biking trails, and everything else Mt Hood has to offer are all within a 20 minute drive. *More than 4 cars can be park on site, but it will take some planning and maneuvering. Especially if certain cars need to frequently leave the property and re-enter throughout your stay. *Vehicles over 25 ft will most likely not be able make the turn to be parallel with the river (river view) due to trees being in the way. These longer RVs and vehicles can be accommodated, but will require backing up out of the gated entrance. *Property/site is accessible to wheelchair users, however there is no pavement. *The ground is bumpy in areas due to large rocks sticking out a little bit of the dirt. Sports cars or lowered cars are not recommended. The road in takes you right next to the picnic tables, so the pics should give you a good idea of what to expect.

Cornerstone Ranch

Cornerstone Ranch is a beautiful 500 acre property on the Rogue River, and bordering the Pacific Ocean. The ranch offers campsites, as well as a yurt. Horses are welcome, as well pets. From the South GPS is very accurate to our driveway. Coming from the North, GPS may drop you at "Marchmont Farm". Keep driving about another 1/8th mile until you see the large "Cornerstone Ranch" sign. That is our driveway. The large Yurt Tent about a 20 foot oval. It is part of the Cornerstone Ranch Hip Camp family of sites on the Ranch totaling 7. In a very quiet part of the campgrounds and having a picnic table under a large pine. We have added 2 twin memory foam mattresses and two camping mattresses in the Yurt along with a few other things to make your stay comfortable while still enjoying the Ranch, Coast and the Rogue River and all it has to offer. The ranch also offers 6 different campsites. Campfires are allowed (outside of burn bans), and there is a toilet on site as well. Reviews from guests: "During the night we could hear Elk and the nearby nature! When we woke up we got to visit with the horses, use the really clean port-potty, and chat with Bonnie the Host! She has tons of recommendations, but our favorite was the Indian creek cafe across the river. The areas so great and clean and the host cares about her guests! Would recommend!"

You can also go hiking or horseback riding on over 7000 acres of BLM land. Only 12 miles to the city of Roseburg or Sutherland. Easy access from I-5. Guest note: we rotationally graze our cattle (while the campground is open for business) in the months of February/March/April/May/and early June. Message before booking if you want to know if the cattle are on the grounds when you wish to say. They are docile yet curious but pose no threat to campers.
