With over 10 acres to explore, this regenerative farm is home to many fruit trees, indigenous plants, wild chickens, and other beautiful birds that you will likely spot while taking a stroll on our nature path. We have worked really hard to care for this ʻāina (land), and we are happy to share it with respectful travelers looking for a quiet, authentic, farm-stay experience. Camp Koʻolau provides bathrooms, a warm-water outdoor shower with an amazing view, and parking. Our farm is only a 5-minute drive to the beach, and 15 minutes from popular, Kailua town. As a working farm, we do have insects and geckos hanging around. So, it's not uncommon to encounter them. Also, we often have visits from wild pigs that come down from the mountain, so you may see them as well. Although we are certain you will love this place, please keep in mind, it takes a lot of hard work to maintain it. Thus, you will probably hear farm equipment and activities buzzing about (typically on the weekends). And, we want you to respect, love, and care for this place as much as we do by leaving it better than you found it. Welcome to Hau'ula Homestead! We are located on O‘ahu, the beautiful Hawaiian Island. Right across the road from Hau'ula Beach park and a short drive from famous North Shore beaches. No hookups are available at this time, the sites are flat. Campfires are permitted. We are pet-friendly, but please keep your pets on leash. A toilet, potable water, and wifi are all available. Kokololio Beach Park is a 2-minute drive from the site. Hau'ula Loop Trail is only 4 minutes away. Kokololio Beach is a nice stretch of sand and during the summer months, swimming is possible. When coming from the south, turn left toward the mountain immediately before the long Hauula Beach park bridge or when coming from the north turn right immediately toward the mountain just after the long park bridge.

Our securely gated, tranquil haven boasts tropical fruit trees and a sprawling lawn space campground, plenty of space with bathrooms and a nature walk to cold showers included. A sandy beach, perfect for sunset, is a 15 minute walk away! There are martial arts classes occurring on the property mon-fri until about 9-930 pm, so if you see some lights and people as you enter do not worry. As there will likely not be someone physically there, we have made detailed self check in instructions on a Google Doc ! (vehicles not included). A hidden gem for anyone looking for a safe, secluded place to camp on the most tropical side of Oahu! Check in time will be after 4 pm, and a link will be provided for arrival instructions and gate code. We have fixed arrival procedures and have clearly labeled signage to ensure you find your campsite! You will enjoy your stay here if you're comfortable closely co-existing with nature and the sounds that come with it. Please plan accordingly. This includes 4 private bathrooms with a shower, toilet and sink. The restroom facility is shared with other guest on Maleka Farm and is Off-grid. We collect rain water for our shower, toilet, and sink, and use solar panels for electricity. As the sun rises and sets, the mountains transform, casting beautiful hues of orange and purple across the sky, creating a mesmerizing sight for campers. Each site has its own picnic table! For Tents: Maleka Farm provides space for pitching tents in the green grass. Set up your tent and enjoy the simplicity of sleeping under the stars, feeling the gentle breeze, and waking up to the natural beauty that surrounds you. For Camper-Vans: Maleka Farm grassy field can accommodate camper-vans of various sizes. The Farm is flat and great for camper-vans to sleep on leveled ground. Hiking Trails: Maleka Farm provides easy access to a variety of hiking trails that wind their way through the scenic landscapes of Laie and its surrounding areas. Some popular trails in the vicinity include: Laie Summit Trail Ma'akua Ridge Trail Laie Falls Trail Malaekahana Falls Trail Local Attractions: In addition to the mesmerizing mountain views, Laie and its surrounding areas offer a variety of attractions. Explore the Polynesian Cultural Center, an immersive cultural experience showcasing the traditions and history of the Pacific Islands. Hukilau Cafe is .3 miles down the street where the popular movie 50 First dates was filmed. Just 2 miles North is Kahuku Food Trucks to satisfy any pallet. You can also visit nearby beaches for swimming, snorkeling, or simply basking in the sun. We have some beach equipment available for rent: Surfboards, boogie boards and snorkel gear!

Hau'ula Homestead

Welcome to Hau'ula Homestead! We are located on O‘ahu, the beautiful Hawaiian Island. Right across the road from Hau'ula Beach park and a short drive from famous North Shore beaches. Flat grass field with some trees and bordered by a stream. We have two RV/tent campsites available. If you are bringing an RV, we can accommodate vehicles up to 45ft in length. No hookups are available at this time, the sites are flat. Campfires are permitted. We are pet-friendly, but please keep your pets on leash. A toilet, potable water, and wifi are all available. Kokololio Beach Park is a 2-minute drive from the site. Hau'ula Loop Trail is only 4 minutes away. Kokololio Beach is a nice stretch of sand and during the summer months, swimming is possible. When coming from the south, turn left toward the mountain immediately before the long Hauula Beach park bridge or when coming from the north turn right immediately toward the mountain just after the long park bridge.

We have worked really hard to care for this ʻāina (land), and we are happy to share it with respectful travelers looking for a quiet, authentic, farm-stay experience. Camp Koʻolau provides bathrooms, a warm-water outdoor shower with an amazing view, and parking. Our farm is only a 5-minute drive to the beach, and 15 minutes from popular, Kailua town. As a working farm, we do have insects and geckos hanging around. So, it's not uncommon to encounter them. Also, we often have visits from wild pigs that come down from the mountain, so you may see them as well. Although we are certain you will love this place, please keep in mind, it takes a lot of hard work to maintain it. Thus, you will probably hear farm equipment and activities buzzing about (typically on the weekends). And, we want you to respect, love, and care for this place as much as we do by leaving it better than you found it.
