Site 1 - Iron Teepee
Relaxing in artisan paradise
We had two nights at Site#1 - plenty of room for a campervan and a small camper trailer - and flat. We really liked the Teepee and firepit to huddle around while enjoying the night skies. The property is like no other with awesome art installations in every direction and Mike was around each day working his artistic wonders and answering questions on local bike rides etc. We also tasted the on-site wines (recommended as preference over the Murphy Main Street fare) and had a personal tour of the pottery. A wonderful campground and we’ve already booked our return in August to see some Shakespeare performance at the onsite open-air theater.

Site 3 - Private & Cozy
Mountain forest Camping Art + Wine
Mike is a fantastic host. Attentive, you get cell service and he’s only a text away. Loved the art, the steel, glass, and pottery work was not only fun to look at, also good to play with or part of the site in a practical and useful way. I want to try one of the teepee fire pit sites. The privacy was good, ideal if you can wrangle scheduling with multiple families. Not super completely private, but way better than a KOA. Lots of tents around. Very family friendly. Porta potty and grey water washing station. Go planning to enjoy the wine onsite as well. Murphy’s is similar feel Healdsburg but a smaller town.

I’ve been here almost a handful of times now. Michel always is so welcoming, and the campsites are always clean and well laid out. Love all the sculpture gardens, and camp cooking area.

This was a sweet little spot. Loved the art and the set up. Michel was very helpful. For cold and windy nights, I highly recommend the sites with the Teepees

Site 1 - Iron Teepee
Conveniently located about five minutes outside of Murphy - an excellent launching pad for everything uphill. The place has loads of character. All of the sites were impeccably groomed and clean (that said we were probably the first campers of the season). We arrived in late afternoon and wanted to stretch our legs. Conveniently, there was a mile plus loop on the property that also boasted a terrific view. Oh, and having a winery with live events on the property (but still outside of earshot) was really convenient. Michel was a gracious, helpful, and gregarious host; a man of many miles and passions!
