Marvelous RV Experiece
We stayed at Melanie’s property in a 33’ travel trailer. The site was marvelous: level, shaded, private, and with in walking distance to town, to the Paton Center for Hummingbirds, and just a couple blocks away from the road up to the sky island, the Patagonia Mountains.

What a great campground if you are headed to Patagonia! Our family of five booked a trip to Patagonia Lake and with the park campground being full, we needed a place to stay. We lucked out with Sanctuary at Sonora Creek! The campground was small and quaint, but we had all the room we needed for our small pop-up camper. Site had a fire pit and power hookup, and there was a nice bathroom house and outdoor shower with hot water. Melanie and the campground host were so nice! We would for sure stay here again.

Quick walk to town or trails. Patton hummingbird center a quarter mile away. Hosts are wonderful. Great outdoor shower and free washer and dryer. And, one of our favorite towns of all time

Very quiet location, on the backstreets of Pagagonia. Also a very convenient location, easy walking distance to the rest of town, and to the Paton Hummingbird Center. Lovely spot, beneath big trees. Host is very helpful and friendly. Clean restroom, and a wonderful open-air (but adequately screened) shower.

We were very happy in our Sprinter van at the Sonoita Creek Sanctuary. It was centrally located, just a few minutes walk from town, and very quiet in the evenings and at night. The grounds are clean, as is the bathroom and outdoor shower. We took advantage of the gravel bike trails as well as the Paton Center for Hummingbirds and the Nature Conservancy — all within close proximity of the hip camp. The Paton Hummingbird center is only about a 5-10 minute walk and is amazing. It’s a little closer quarters than we usually get at a hipcamp, but it’s fine because it’s so quiet and so close to everything. We will definitely stay here again!!!
