Cedar Bloom

157 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents100 acres · Cave Junction, OR
Cedar Bloom was purchased in the spring of 2017 by Spirit Weavers Gathering as a place of peace and healing, for all walks of life. Spirit Weavers is an annual women's gathering which happens once a year each June. We host over 1,200 women in just two weeks on the land. Our beautiful forested land is located in Southern Oregon, in a small town off the 199 Redwood Highway. The land which we call home is 100 acres of beautiful protected forest and sits upon a mile of the Illinois River. We are very fortunate to be surrounded by a widely diverse population of flora and fauna. As caretakers of this sacred land, we feel a strong responsibility to honor our plant and animal allies by not only protecting them and their habitat, but also to help educate others about what lives and grows here by providing people with opportunities to experience the beauty of these plants and animals for themselves. For this reason, We are honored to host the many different groups who will gather here on this land for learning and communing with the nature that flourishes here. We feel very fortunate to be involved in this process of helping promote a sustainable and abundant future for all living things on this planet by sharing knowledge and skills from the human past that can make a sustainable lifestyle a reality for everyone everywhere. This is our home and we are happy to share it with you!

Redwood Retreat

3 sites · Lodging2 acres · Crescent City, CA
We acquired the property in 2015, out-competing a logger who wanted to cut the grove for timber. We want the redwood grove to demonstrate to our community, with its long history of forestry, that trees can be commercially valuable preserved in their natural state. You are helping us do that by staying in our woods! As of 2023 more than 80 work-exchange helpers through WWOOF (World-Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) have labored to help develop the property in exchange for room, board and a hands-on education. Adjacent to the redwood grove is a permaculture farm that supplies a large share of our nutrition. The property is also an overnight stopover for bicycle tourists traveling down highway 101, typically from Seattle or Vancouver to the Mexican border who find us through the website Warmshowers.

Charming Bear Creek Vineyard Cabin

Bear Creek Vineyard gets its name from the creek that runs through the entire property length. It has a ton of history being the original lodging location for workers constructing the Chateau at the Oregon Caves just 7 miles down the road. The pond has been stocked for over 20 years with bass, blue gill, and Tilapia. We currently operate the vineyard with the grapes going to a local winery for processing. We have 2 horses and a constantly growing flock of rare ducks. Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. The cabin sits high up on the property with an unbelievable view. It was constructed with cedar trees from our property just this year! Very cozy and peaceful your private spot for your stay. There is a fully stocked pond so bring your poles for some great fishing. Next to the River

20 sites · RVs, Tents4 acres · Klamath, CA
We have been a family owned RV Park/Campground for over 40 years. This is a very rustic, old-fashioned campground located at the end of a neighborhood next to the river. As mentioned this is also a RV Park so there will be RVs on site. It is an open field campground dispersed with trees. Neighbors will be present. The river access is right over the levee just a few minutes walk from your campsite. Fishing on the river is allowed but you need a license. We are near the woods and river so wildlife is present. Please make sure your food is put away nightly to discourage critters from coming into camp. The campground is just a short drive from a selection of hiking or biking trails. As well as other attractions like the Jet Boat Tours and Trees of Mystery. Located at the end of a glen cell service in this area can be spotty or non existent depending on the carrier. Wifi is available near main house but is limited to emails, messaging and mapping your next adventure. We welcome people of all seasons. Just ask that you are kind and respectful to each other. Well Behaved Pets Are Allowed. Children and Laughter are Always Welcome. We look forward to your visit. August and September there will be fisher persons in the campground. So be warned of early morning engine noise as they head out to the river for fishing. Electric cars that want to charge there is a $10 fee at time of service. Must make arrangements ahead of a time because 50 amp services are limited. Plus you need to bring your own adapters.

Creekside Cabin in Williams, OR

1 site · Lodging11 acres · Williams, OR
You will appreciate the peace and quiet of this little cabin on Rock Creek, situated on 11 acres of forest in Williams Oregon. The only sounds you'll hear are the birds in the trees and the flowing creek water. Enjoy sitting on the deck overlooking the creek or hiking on the property. A bridge crosses Rock Creek where you can hike to the confluence of Rock Creek and East Fork Williams Creek. Our garden hot tub is a welcome place to soak and enjoy the stars at night. Our cabin has a kitchenette with a small fridge, sink, 2-burner gas stovetop, teapot crockpot, toaster, and 2-cup coffee maker, plus a few dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, enough for simple meal preparation. Coffee, tea, sugar, and half-and-half are provided, and we usually provide fresh eggs from our happy hens plus butter in the fridge when available. The sitting area has a woodstove two smaller stuffed chairs, and two bar stools at a counter/bar with views of the creek. The bathroom has a shower, sink, and portable camper toilet, and towels and toiletries are provided. There is hot and cold running water, although the 3-gallon hot water heat limits showers to less than 5 minutes. A nice wide sturdy ladder leads up to the loft upstairs which has a 4" standard foam mattress with fresh linens. The loft is low and cozy which allows the camper to sit up on the bed but not stand up. A compost toilet is about 100 yards away, and we encourage the use of this toilet as much as possible, and use the little camper portable toilet for midnight emergencies. Bring your flashlights to find the compost toilet as well as the hot tub as the property is very dark. Our WiFi barely reaches the cabin but texting can be accomplished at the compost toilet or at the garden gate. The password is listed in the binder on the table. Most folks enjoy getting away from the internet for a while. Some games are provided.

Sustainable Ecovillage

5 sites · Lodging160 acres · Gasquet, CA
The Smith River Complex Fire took our property on August 16th, 2023. Updates on our progress here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fucaTaOwf5c PLEASE NOTE, 4WD is required in order to access the sites. Please message me if you have any questions prior to booking. Sustainable Ecovillage is an off-grid project for sustainable living. If you are looking for a unique experience and up for rustic accommodations among goats, chickens, a permaculture food forest with a few off-grid perks, we welcome you to join us in our mountainous, wilderness paradise! Our 160-acre property is surrounded by about a million acres of National Forest. Our neighborhood is all made of trees, huckleberry bushes and animals. We love it here. It is very remote, peaceful, and functionally sustainable in its focus. The closest neighbor is a Buddhist Hermitage about a mile up the forestry road. Also, supposedly, Sasquatch live here! (it is the epicenter for documented sightings). Most visitors to the area are interested in spending time in the redwoods – we are about 30-45 minutes from the nearest entrance to Jedediah Smith Park, home of Stout Grove and other beautiful redwood hikes. Driving into Crescent City, about 45-60 minutes, winds you right through the "gentle giants" on your way to or from Redwood National Park. We are self-sufficient, and sustainable in a relatively primitive set-up, especially after the fire this year. It's mountainous and remote, and we have a community agreement about no smoking (of any kind) on our land.
