Description

Antelopes, turkeys and walleye, oh my! The biggest question you’ll have at Keyhole State Park is whether the birders or the birds are having the most fun. There’s no place, and we mean better for wildlife watching – especially the flighty type, than Keyhole. Spend a few days at Tatanka campground! Every birder needs a basecamp, and where better to take your sandwich break than under the shade of a pine tree?

What a beautiful place to wake up!! This is a really gorgeous spot! Campsites are totally exposed but have nicely constructed flat tent beds. There are no showers, but pro-tip, if you head 20 minutes over to the nearby town of Pine Haven, there's a little guest house just at the entrance of the town (building with the general store and across from the grocery store) and you can take a shower for $6 that is as clean as a hotel, nice and hot.
