Above and beyond amazing communication and generous accommodations. Cold winter temperatures changed my camping plans at the Arena last minute, and the host was super helpful and quick to securing me a warm room at the local Hotel/Casino instead. Though I did not technically end up spending the night at this campsite, I absolutely look forward to the chance to visit again during the warmer months for a proper stay!
Jim and Paulette were absolutely lovely hosts. Their pup, Grizz, was also very welcoming and accepting of our fur babies which we really appreciated!
They invited us to join them for a fire which was really nice and cozy after a long day of travel.
The shower and bathroom were clean and plenty of hot water. They made us feel very welcome!
This was such a fabulous stay! The hosts Paulette and Jim were so kind and friendly! Paulette invited me on a walk in the morning, which was perfect and very needed after many days in the car and Jim even gave my son a roping lessons because he had just bought a lasso at Wall Drug it the day before! Such a great experience!!
Quiet, nice views, kind host
This was a wonderful place to stay after a long day of driving. We were the only ones at the site. The host was very welcoming and kind! We got in kinda late but she still showed us around to all the amenities and even helped up start a fire. The shower was hot and the bathroom was very clean. I would definitely stay again if I’m in the area!
The view alone is worth the price !
When we pulled into Jim Moss Arena & Camping we were greeted by Paulette and their poodle (who was expertly riding in the back of their red pickup truck). Even though she hadn’t been expecting us until later in the day she took the time to show us the property and the facilities available. We originally selected a site at the back of the property, but when Paulette said we were welcome to lay camp anywhere on the property we were grateful to choose a location that was closer to the views of the mountains. When we booked the location we asked for the $10 "small” bundle of wood, which we admittedly thought seemed expensive at the time. However, the "small" bundle of wood was anything but! The bundle included paper, kindling, & enough logs to last us into the evening and the next morning. It was well worth the price, especially as it had gotten down to thirty-four degrees during the night with chilly wind. Paulette was gracious in allowing our puppy to run around their property all day with their dog and kittens. Their dog often kept an eye on our puppy and even stopped him once when he went to run up to the horses.
The hosts and all their animals were a joy to be around! This is the right place to visit if you want a secluded day to relax with a view and some furry friends.
Both Jim and Paulette were very friendly and great hosts! The bathroom was very tidy and well kept, and the site location was nice and flat for tenting. The sunset was gorgeous too.
I’d recommend bringing bug spray as the mosquitos were out, but otherwise it was a very pleasant stay.
