Description
It gets chilly up in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming, and huddling close to other warm bodies fends the chills off better than even your favorite college bookstore hoodie. It’s perfect, then, that Willow Park Group Campground fits up to 150 people at its lush meadow campsite, surrounded on all sides by tall pines that are themselves surrounded by the Bighorn Mountains. Whether you’re celebrating a wedding, someone’s 50th, or just a mutual love of Wyoming, this spot is perfect for a big camping-and/or climbing-obsessed crew (the town of Ten Sleep, famous to climbers all over the country, is a quick drive south). There are two lakes close by, the Cloud Peak Wilderness Area is a hike away, and the trails vary from creekside strolls to peak-scaling loops—from the quiet photographer to the climbing fanatic, everyone in your group will have something to do here.
